I hate gimbals but almost all of my work requires me having a gimbal for atleast 50% of the job so it's a tool I've kinda learned to really appreciate for how many shots I can knock out in a short amount of time. I think end of this year I'll be moving to the RS4 as well cause my RS2 is starting to show it's age due to heavy use over the past 2 years.
I have one of the older DJI Ronin SE gimbals , got a small rig side handle , that attaches to the base of battery / handle , which has a cold shoe mount for a monitor . I definitely find two handed side by side is better than one above the other . The Ring is a lot more of a set up pain , takes up more room etc , and really all you need is an extra handle coming out from the side with a 5 inch monitor on top of it.
You mentioned half a day rate. Mind sharing a little bit more on how you price your projects? I don’t do hourly rates, not sure at. Just price it per project. For what I saw you do, for similar projects I’ve priced just over $1000.
TYPICALLY my half day is $600 and full day is $1100. That’s for now, I do have plans of increasing this next January. Half days provide a great way to get paid and still work with people. My goal rn is to build my client base
I always thought it was funny when people would say “no one notices you” when you’re moving around with a lot of gear. It’s literally the opposite, someone almost always walks up and says something lol
I started with the Tilta ring. Now it just stays in the case and I never use it. It's so much quicker and easier just to use the RS3 in the config you have now. You can still add a monitor using the nato clamps on the side.
@@lensofjaredmaybe it’s better with a lighter setup, but I find with my red Komodo, 99w battery, cine7, focus motor etc it just gets heavy, so I have to use an easyrig. Then the easyrig adds bounce so you need a serene or stabil lite arm. It all starts to get pretty expensive, and like with most things, the simpler solution is usually the better one.
bro im just ripping thru your videos and you are inspiring me so much out here from Miami. do you also edit the clients work or do you have an editor for that
Appreciate that! often times I am hired to shoot and handoff footage but, I do also edit! I dont advertise it as heavily bc people dont want to pay for it usually.
No ramp leading into a Chiropractor office is ironic ngl lol
and isn't it illegal?
This is my fault for not adding that we found one back in the vlog.
They had one on the side of the building
The only thing I learned from this vlog is I need to start pushing my production cart around town if I need more clients.
It’s free real estate
Gotta light that green screen man and keep talent about 6ft away to stop spill from hitting them.
You’re not wrong, thankfully I didn’t have any issues in post cleaning this up
Love these videos brother; keep em' coming.
You got it!

Yeah, hate them too but, they do make nice footage! Debating the Rs4 but, it’ll be a minute
Great content! I love the bts footage. You've got a great attitude as well. Your subscriber numbers are going to sky rocket. Keep it up.
Appreciate that Daniel!
Amazing video I was wondering how are you rigging your tube lights like that do you have links for it?
Yes I do, this is the full setup:
- C stand: amzn.to/3QB3lFV
- Boom Arm: amzn.to/3UOsX4x
- Swivel Mount: amzn.to/3wrfypO
- T2C: amzn.to/4bwHnMt
Can you give us info on how to price half day rate vs full day rate?
I typically price $600 for a half day and $1100 for a full day. It changes from time to time but, that’s my basis.

May need to just get a side handle and see how I like it 🤔
Do you edit these chiropractor videos too or hand the footage off?
Handoff, get paid and move on 😍

Oh yeah, I get comments ALL the time when I’m pushing the cart around haha
Good stuff brother!
Keep it up.
Quick question, are you editing as well?
Or just shooting?
Thanks bro!
This shoot, no editing! I do edit but, only what I want to edit haha
Keep up the good work. I have a Tilta Ring and would highly recommend it. It's easier to handle as you are gripping it from two sides.
Played with one today, I really liked it!

See that’s my issue, I don’t want to buy a dust collector, gotta keep researching.

Love these videos you make they really provide a ton of great information and perspective! Where do you apply for gigs? Staffmeup?
Production Hub has been a great success for me. Facebook is nice as well! Other than that I get a lot of traffic from other filmmakers.
I enjoyed this man! Thank you for sharing what you’re learning :)
Thanks for watching Tommy!

2:52 Do yourself a huge favor and use the dual recording function in your camera. I've lost an hour of footage because of a memory card error.
Yeah, I should start utilizing it, especially for these types of jobs. My a7siii stays on dual recording.
what cart do you use and would you recommend it?
It’s in my description, I love it! It’s a fantastic sturdy cart!
@@lensofjared i checked out every single link and couldn't find it
Oh wierd! Here it is amzn.to/4e5oItb
@@lensofjared do you see it in the description? you or i might have missed it - either way, thanks!
For a video like that, how much do you charge your client? Approximation.
Which hard cases are those?
Nanuk 963! Link in the description!
Nice work!
Thanks!
Hi Jared, love you and enjoy the day
Hi Tucci, love u
Sounds illegal to not have a ramp 🤔 lol
Haha I should’ve updated it in the vlog, we found one after the fact. I see now how that’s confusing
Nice bro!
Thanks!
