Hi there. I saw in your 1st video that you had I think the GT4 steering wheel installed before getting this. I was hoping to ask, how do you rate the FX Pro vs the GT4? Does the heavier FX Pro make a noticeable difference to the force feedback feeling vs. the GT4? 10 months later, are you still using either of these steering wheels and if so, which is your favourite? Also, which Simagic Alpha are you using? Apologies for the many questions and thanks in advance! I'm trying to urgently decide what to get for myself.
Sorry for the long delay here. I’ve been traveling for work and it’s a little hectic. The grip and feel of both wheels is pretty similar. I think I even prefer the size of the GT4 wheel. I also use them for different applications and cars. If you have to opt for just one of them, I’d say the FX Pro would offer you more options to play with other cars. But if you mostly race only the GT cars, then get the GT4 wheel. I’d say to even consider one of the new GT models they have that come with more rotary encoders and buttons like the FX Carbon
Its crazy how it matches the quality of 1500 dollar wheels. It may be the best f1 wheel ive ever used. Feel and function are perfect. Also the paddle shifters are perfection. Positive yet has depth and isnt crazy loud just right!
Couldn't agree more! It feels like the real thing in your hands. I've been banging mine every day at 23NM and the thing looks like new (it's been over a year since I bought it now).
Apparently this wheel is compatible with other bases, but requires some work boostedmedia.net/technology/how-to-mix-simagic-wheels-bases-with-other-brand-hardware-fanatec-simucube-etc/ I'll see if can get more information with the manufacturer.
Hi Rod. This won’t be compatible with a Fanatec base. It uses Wi-Fi to communicate with the Simagic Wheelbase. I think there are some Wheels that look similar that you can connect to the DD2 and use an usb cable to connect with the PC. I’ve seen those on Etsy for a similar price range. Or, if you can invest a little more, I’d either buy the wheel with a Simagic wheelbase or a Wheel from Gomez sim racing.
@@kimtornqvist182 The usb on the wheels are used for firmware updates for the wheels like the recently released FX Pro updated that brought more dashboards to the wheel and some new functions for the lights.
I don’t think so. It connects wirelessly to the Simagic base. It does have a usb interface but only for wheel updates AFAIK. You’re the second person asking for this. I’ll try to figure it out.
@@eduardwalter812 hi the wheelbase only provide power to the wheel rim. The signal from the PC to the wheel for the buttons and telemetry comes thru a Wi-Fi connection between the wheel rim and wheel base. You can connect 3rd party wheels to the wheel base using their quick release system but the connection between the wheel and your PC will require a USB cable between them.
great wheel ! - thanks

Really nice wheel. Do you Know if it´s compatible with DD2 Fanatec base ?

@@daddysgottarace but what is the USB connection for on the wheel?

Why so many hashtags?
Good question. Rookie mistake.
Is this wheel compatible with Simucube 2 Pro ?

Thanks for the reply anyway.

What do you mean " only wireless"?
It's already sticked in the wheelbase...
Thank you

I ordered the Simagic FX Pro, Simagic Alpha Mini wheelbase and the Simagic Multifunctional Desk Clamp
I hope it's okay.
