    I'm not in Mexico yet ( coming in April) but I'm in a lot of the groups on FB. I have my residency visa part 1 taken care of ( I did economic solvency) I am so shocked that some of the mayo people are mad that you need money to live in Mexico. They want to be able to come down on their $10/hr salary and live like kings/queens. No boo, the Mexican government wants to make sure that you have enough money to take care of yourself, so that they don't have to take care of you when you run out. It's ridiculous. I'm glad they raised the amount needed to come over. $2500 a month is not a lot of money.

    I am from Mexico City and I am amazed by how spot on are Roshida’s & Adalia’s views about this city! Truly, you are soooo accurate. I’d just add on the hanging subject on class and skin color: there is no Mexican who doesn’t see that connection here… we all do see it, no Mexican will deny that is a reality. However, it is true that we do not talk about it as much.
    It isn’t an easy light conversation between us Mexicans cause you see there is no group of Mexicans where you can talk about it and there are no skin color differences between those of us in the conversation… so the minute someone talks about it with another Mexican, everyone puts up their guards and everyone gets uncomfortable. You have to know that for most of us, we all have a lighter and a darker skin color relative or friend - father could be brown skin and mother super light skin… best friend light brown, another one is blonde, another one a different shade of brown. So it is not us and them… but us are them and them are us. So by naming the difference when in a group of friends or relatives we unwillingly draw a line that immediately separate us… but if not one mentions it we don’t see ourselves as different, but as friends or family. I guess we have learned not to bring it up because it only makes everyone uncomfortable. So yeah, we see it but we don’t let that sets us apart (at least not those of us who don’t identify as white Mexicans and who have all shades of brown in our families, peers, colleagues, etc).

      I think the people that are most uncomfortable are the lighter skinned people and white people who simply don’t and won’t challenge a system that they clearly benefit from. Who is really going to destroy with benefits them? It’s not pretty but it’s the truth

    Hi love the video, it is not that people doesnt like some plushy. To buy good and durable furniture you have to leave the city. The Estado de México has a lot of pueblos that only make furniture. You can ask for it to be made by the fabric and color you select and telling the measures of your place and it send to your place in 15 days paying half when you made your selection and the other in your home. They send you photos of the production or you can go to see how it is going. And theshipping is other price is not included and depends were you live. There are many of this places you can find in Facebook but again dont spect english speakers. By the way love the hair soo shiny 🤩 And the people of the weekly market probably buy their furniture in the Estado de México and resale it in the city. Recomendation go a saturday morning.

    Great info!! Thank Ladies!! I love your talks and discussions. Makes me more excited to arrive there. I have already chosen the locations in Mexico city that are very walkable and the parks are nearby. I would like to visit both Mexico City as well as Playa Del Carmen to see and experience both cities. Have you ladies lived or stayed in Playa Del Carmen for any amount of time? I will like to know more about that as well. Do you have a video on that location?

      En colonial times many blacks use to live but the mixed w indigenous and blacks asimílate and you do not see in Mexico City only in the Coast near sea of Mexico. They were absorbed by the orthers inmigrants or move to others Spanish colonies. You are new inmigrants and you stay and intermarriage you children will be mextizos. Enjoy Mexico a nation with a great history and indigenous heritage. Hey I am not mexica I am New Jersey USA but I study the Mexico history.

  • @roxxee5779
    @roxxee5779 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When should I begin my residency as I plan to move there by retiring between January-March 2025. Should I start now for temporary residency. So that would put me closer to 4 year mark to later apply for permanent residency. As of now I am far beyond the money cap for residency. I’m aware that it can change by then. But my retirement pay is decent along with 401k for Mexico.

    Kidnapping, murders and rape are the items my brother was concern with when I stated I plan to visit and hopefully move to Mexico City. He recommended I was Narc about Mexico. Again I'm not rich or have rich family members so why would I be frightened about living in Mexico City.

      Dating in America is probably way easier for women versus in countries where there are traditional gender roles in the culture. Also the income inequality being more pronounced definitely gives men with money even more options.
      So the challenges of dating that might exist in America are probably even worse in a country like Mexico.
