    I had a Valk Interstate, always ready for touring. Best bike I ever owned.

    • @CityWalkerProductions
      @CityWalkerProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually would like to have an Interstate in the same style as the one we already have. Maybe when we move soon, I will have room for it in a new garage. ChromeKing should not have to stay outside anymore :-) Thank you very much for watching. We will soon be out with more video's about ChromeKing !

      Our interstate was two tone silver and blue. We toured in France with a Garmin the size of a house brick and loved it, never missed a beat. We joined the Valerie Owners Cruisers Club (free)! And had a blast with great people, happy days.

    Based on your experience, what can be the pros and cons of this bike, which is what can fail you the most, I have read that the fuel tank valve tends to fail.
    I really want a Valkyrie

      We have used this bike for 3 years now, it was made in 2000. So far, the alternator is the only thing that has broken. But it was a 20 year old part. Apart from this, nothing. These bikes are well known for reliability. If you want to check for other people's experience, join the Valkyrie group on Facebook. They have a very high level of knowledge. Thank you for watching.

    The Valk is a huge and fun bike to ride. Smooth and comfortable. But, with a range of about 125 miles its got some pretty short legs on it.

      My ‘97 Valk goes on reserve at 130 miles and sometimes 160 miles. Then another 30 miles. Crappy gas mileage, but more than 125 miles.

    youve probaly awready know this but that tool bag you mounted on the front is too low , when the shocks compres during riding it will rub on the front fender and ruin the panint , on mine i made a support bracket out of some brass rod , but i am sure yu can find some comercialy available ones as well .More importantly that ol filter cover looks cool but there is a reason as to why oil filters are mounted on the front of the engine and are exposed like that , the reason is oil cooling . The cooling of the engine should be sufficient to overcome this mod but its no needed and on hot days it can make the difference between a hot day riding and an overheated engine ,safe riding

    • @CityWalkerProductions
      @CityWalkerProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. What you might notice in one of the later video's, we covered the front fender with soft protective material right under the tool rool. In addition, we do not really carry the metal tools inside the roll. They are in one of the side bags :.) We shall also mount a bracket behind the roll as to keep it up.
      The oil filter on the other hand fits so snugly inside the cover that it in effect becomes a heat sink for the oil filter. I had the same concern when I tested out the cover, but found it to be the same temperature as the oil filte's aluminium casing. Measured with a laser temp meter after test driving a hot summer day ! I think we measured ca 80 C that day.
      Thank you very much for watching and have a great summer, it should soon appear :-)

    Hi CityWalker! I have a question, where did you get those extra lights with indicators on both sides of that full-size windshield? I've been looking for them for some time with no success. Great work on your Valkyrie :)

    • @CityWalkerProductions
      @CityWalkerProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there. They were manufactured by a US company called Cobra. They are discontinued a long time ago. You can get a used pair or a reproduced pair from Germany.
      Used:
      www.valkparts.de/epages/81325627.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/81325627/Products/GE010
      Reproduced:
      www.valkparts.de/epages/81325627.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/81325627/Products/HN545
      They are extremely expensive when buying from Germany though.
      In our Illumination video, you will see us change them into LED for improved light output.
      Anyway, thank you for watching and sucscribe for the next video's :-) Ride Safe.
