    Hi Todd! My First new BB gun was a Crossman 760 that I received about 1973 maybe? It wasn't the original style "Tootsie roll" model like you have but mine still had a nice wood stock. The gun was super accurate with both pellets and BB's! Even darts! LOL My Dad and I would shoot out a candle at 10 meters... Loved that gun. Thanks!!!!!

      @@tfknauss let me know when you take the 760 power master down again with a video. I’m in uk so not many parts around and someone has had a go before. Brass flat top valve but it isn’t cocking and brass valve is not far enough back for some reason? The valve can be seen in line with the front screw hole? Wondering about cocking mechanism, a photo of the valve assembly in correct order and cocking spring and hammer in order would be handy👍

    • @tfknauss
      @tfknauss  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry in delay getting back with you. You will need to tear the gun down and inspect... but there are springs in there, disconnected or broke. Trigger mechanisms seem to be easy to find for parts,, the older the gun the harder though. Good luck!

    Hey Todd, I replaced the 4 seals along with the pump cup assembly and the breech seal and bushing on my vintage 760 and now I am not getting any pressure when pumping up this crosman. Is there a certain position the trigger need to be to line up with the inner workings? I had this rifle apart several times and still no pressure is building up. Thanks for the videos

      I'm in the same situation, if you read some of other conversations with others also having issues. I'm not sure what I am missing or doing wrong. There is a guy who repairs bb guns in Mt. Victory, Ohio. I think I may go see him and see what he thinks.

      @@tfknauss that screw you were missing holds the valve in place. My third attempt on reassembly when I pumped rifle on about the fourth pump it would sound as if it shot but very weak, that’s when I started to think maybe the trigger needed to be set in a certain position in relation to the valve assembly. Todd if you’d still looking for the magnetic bolt I have an extra I can send out to you. No charge, I know how difficult these parts are to find. Thanks for your response.

      Wow, I have a few older types of pellet pump guns,, I never heard of that happening. Have you checked some of the BB gun forum sites... there are "gun smiths" who focus on these type models - they would for sure know what causes that... and it's not safe at all. CountryPeddlerTKnauss, is it still not working right? You might describe exactly what it's not doing and what you replaced so maybe someone from the comments section can help. I've rebuilt quite a few of them recently and so far I've been able to overcome issues and get them all working again.

    • @tfknauss
      @tfknauss  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes on the original 760, after replacing the parts it's not holding air. So I need to record me working it and then tearing it down again. See where I went wrong. Some of the viewers gave me some extra parts I needed as well. So I just need to find the time now. I wish Crosman would put out a better breakdown of the gun to use. Thanks!

      @@pzp6r8 did you replace all four of the seals? From what I've seen, the tiny 'quad seal' inside the valve cap is normally the troublemaker. I was buying replacements like currently on eBay "Vintage Crosman 760 or 130 brass valve cap with new quad seal and o ring nos" but I've figured out that with patience I can replace that seal myself. Unless the trigger is jammed and keeping that open it's about the only thing that would let air leak out of the barrel, unless for some reason the valve cap can't move freely in the exhaust valve ring or if the main valve cap seal is bad.
