I had the original version of this rifle in the mid to late 70s but the one I had fired .177 pellets or bb but had no magazine I can say it was one of the most accurate rifles I’ve ever used/owned and though I regret it as an adult it was responsible for the demise of many sparrows and mice “I worked on a farm back then and there was no shortage of small quarry eating seeds and meal back then that the farmer used to feed his pigs and beef cattle but a great first rifle and if it’s anything like its predecessor then it’s very accurate .
I don't mind, this is exactly what I wanted, smooth barrel with variable pumps, almost like oversized Crosman 1377 but without rifling,my only complaint is that my shoulder will fall off 😂,I do 6 pumps but it's hard for me,however it's an exercise...
Like my Crosman 760 Recruit with the 5 shot pellet clip , so much more enjoyable to shoot than fumbling with a one at a time pellet. The Daisy 880 is also a pain to load in that tiny breech . They should go back to the clips . Follow- up shots are much faster .
That's true, the Daisy 880 is better overall with a rifled barrel and more power. And it's super easy to pump. I can see the 880 being a little long for kids to use, but then again, I was only 11 when I got my first 880 and it fit me just fine. The only Crosman I have is an old 1979 model 766 which is full sized like an 880.
I find that its a good thing to have the young ones getting an arm workout and taking more time to shoot

can you put 5 shots?
@@MauraUrizar Yes pellet clip holds 5 pellets .
where can i get that scope? i see the rails on it are smaller than usual so whatd i have to search for a scole that fits it?
I did a double take when I saw CO2 in the title. Typo I'm sure. I've got 2 of these guns. Earlier versions 1 in black and 1 in pink.
I put a hawke red dot on my 760 great little guns for the money like the daisey 880's there.
Thank you great review 👍
Not the best. If Crosman would only put a rifled barrel on it, otherwise the Daisy 880 will spank it.
A Crosman m4-177 is a reskinned 760 with a rifled barrel. They're very accurate.
Id like to see 880 daisy's agaisn't Crosman seeds company!

@@LowkeyAirgunner Guess I would have to know more about that.
My old 760 (the one with the 5 shot clip) has a rifled barrel. I have had it for many years and I am over 70! Love air rifles.
