    Hey Daniel, you shouldn't exceed 12% for your bet size with a 56% win rate. While you'll still remain profitable if you go higher, your profit ratio will decline. This is supported by the statistics behind the Kelly Criterion.
    For those unfamiliar with the Kelly Criterion, it is a formula used to determine the optimal bet size for maximizing long-term growth. Below are the recommended bet sizes for 1:1 trades based on your average win rate:
    For an 80% win rate, the optimal bet size is 60%
    For a 75% win rate, the optimal bet size is 50%
    For a 70% win rate, the optimal bet size is 40%
    For a 65% win rate, the optimal bet size is 30%
    For a 60% win rate, the optimal bet size is 20%
    For a 55% win rate, the optimal bet size is 10%
    These values help ensure that you maximize returns while managing risk effectively.

    I am at a similar stage, created my play book this year collecting tons of data and refining my strategy and phycology. I trade currencies, a couple of indices and btc/usd. From my experience I would say phycology is one of the most important attributes. I would say for your strategy phycology is going to play a big part as you're trading intraday multiple times, I am a swing trader so only a couple of trades a month with a high RR. I would definitely enjoy following along your journey.

    7:42 What? 20% risk per trade being "technically optimal"? Only in your dreams man!
    With 56% hit rate, you can easily have more than 5 losses in a row many times, or any other combination that will empty the account anyway.
    Also, if you loss 20% you have to actually make 25% just to break even; 67% for 40%, 100% for 50%, etc.

    • @conanwills4154
      @conanwills4154 หลายเดือนก่อน

      20% stop loss you might have 15-20 stocks and its optimality depends on the volatility of the stock but 20% is fine like 1-2% of your total. Logically if you have a 50% win rate you're going to end up with an average of the starting amount so I don't know what the percentages are for. What triggered me was that he's clearly not using fundamentals if he's trading crypto so much and I wonder if he's benefited from the crypto run by taking more longs.

    • @InfiniteIQ
      @InfiniteIQ  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Run the numbers, then you will understand. And 20% of the portfolio on each trade doesn't empty the account after 5 losses, 5 losses in a row would be about a 67% drawdown. It is 1 trade at a time

    • @v1kt0u5
      @v1kt0u5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@InfiniteIQ Ok, right. If every trade isn't a percentage of the initial total, but from the new subsequent equity, the situation is of course better. The DD would be in fact 33%, although, still, because having to win 25% to recover each 20% loss, with so little room to maneuver, it would be super difficult even just keeping the account above high-water mark for the medium-long run.

  • @InfiniteCuriousity
    @InfiniteCuriousity หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Why is the starting capital so low though? If you believe in the system you have created based on historical data and backtesting, then shouldn't you start with more than $20K? Also, you could continuously refine your system based on recent performance and adjust the risk regularly based on your recent hit rate/results, it doesn't have to be a fixed strategy for the entire duration.

      @@InfiniteIQI think we'd all like to see a more detailed reflection from you on the brain training so far. How it's going, and in particular how the current level of each of the benefits you've unlocked compares to back when you first noticed it.
      I know you've mentioned the benefits a month ago, but you haven't expressed them in terms of a scale. Now I also know it gets harder to measure/determine bcs you improve at a slower rate over time, but anyway what I mean is this: say the level of your hq vision was 1 at the moment of unlocking, then what would it be now? Now of course that's nonsense bcs one doesn't know the maximum possible level, so go for the ratio. E.g. was that initial level 1/2 or 1/3 of what you have now (accumulated through training in the meantime)?
      Your other things like the ability to manage your business may be harder to tell bcs a part of it is always attributable to experience (wisdom) acquired over time, but next to hq vision, your general problem solving ability should be quantifiable by you fairly accurately in the way I just described.
      I think now is just the proper time to ask this bcs you've been doing it for a long enough time now, and you should therefore be able to at least mostly accurately assess your level even later on, when improvement was way less steep, in such a comparative way.

    • @CyberPotato123
      @CyberPotato123 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      he wont, lol. training will not make you be able to become the world most intelligent human. Lets take for example bodybuilding; building muscle is much more alterable than building inteligence, yet to perform on stage you cannot achieve this with a bunch of training and steroids, you still need elite genes, same with intelligence, unironically intelligence is even less alterable.

    • @InfiniteIQ
      @InfiniteIQ  หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      That's a poor example, considering body builders spend thousands of hours training in order to get on the stage, whereas the most intelligent people in the world currently are just born with it. A better example would be someone training for a decade to be a bodybuilder, and then competing on stage with the best untrained natural bodies in the world.

    • @CyberPotato123
      @CyberPotato123 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@InfiniteIQ I understand, but my point was that 190 IQ points for someone who started with +-136 (correct me if im wrong) IQ points would very unlikely be able to achieve 190 IQ points, and what I tried to say is that just like bodybuilding you can train all you want and as hard as you can, but without elite genetics you will not be able to compete for the MR. Olympia. having more than 190 IQ points is something only a handful of people have in this world. But im not discouraging you, perhaps I am wrong, but this is my honest opinion.

    • @ruuslann
      @ruuslann หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @CyberPotato123 the flaw of your argument is an assumption of amount of potential increase. No one knows what is the limit of anyone's brain, because no one simply haven't tried to reach it yet. And the criteria of genetics in that matter is also not clear to even make any guess. Einstein's brain was a bit smaller than average yet he had 160iq, even though gray matter mass, or weight of brain, is the only viable characteristic (genetics) that correlates with iq

      Will cost you like $20k but increase iq by 11.7 points

Thanks in advance.

    • @BenjaminBoardman
      @BenjaminBoardman หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know you asked Daniel but I feel I can share some valuable knowledge as a trader for 5 years. Long term investing I personally go with Index funds which is basically a basket of the top 500 US stocks, technically you're investing in a large portion of the US economy. There are also bonds but I don't personally do this, if you do stick with government bonds. Another long term would be bitcoin, buy dips and don't sell, it's that simple. Short term, as degenerate as it is, meme coins. Only if you put in the effort to follow narratives. Split 1k in to 10 different trades and get a couple 10 - 20x and then repeat until you reach 6 figures, obviously this is high risk. My best meme coin play was 50 pounds to 5k, not flexing just example of how powerful it can be. I also swing trade but this took me many years to learn and most of my savings down the drain. I don't want to shill on Daniels page but there are signal groups out there that are legit (most are bs though so be careful) these would allow you to scale over the span of a year, like Daniel is looking to do, and get returns above 20%. For reference the S&P low end averages around 8% annually. To summarise one hundred percent set up a stocks and shares ISA and start investing in the S&P, for a beginner maybe start with 100 euros a month and gradually increase that to atleast 300 - 500 for best results. Secondly invest in bluechip cryptos I personally have money in bitcoin and ETH and I will be holding that until atleast 2030 (I never check my portfolio). Finally you have short term plays like memecoins or day trading, personally I wouldn't recommend day trading unless you are going in 100% and make a career out of it. Good luck and remember this isn't financial advice lol.

      If I have you capital I'd start a business, it can be daunting to commit 10000 euro seems super risky so you should perhaps try starting a small hobby business. That's the fastest way to grow your money. I personally had about 100 quid and bought some secondhand anime figures, merch, clothes, shoes with them and sold them on ebay. You can easily double your money but there's a lot of knowledge you need and things to consider such as postage costs, turnover rate, ect. But you should be a lot more comfortable with that cash you're holding. I'd say start any business you find interesting or potentially fun. Lots of people in America often go to nice neighborhoods and mow their lawns on a regular basis. Basically get creative with what you'd like to do. I just happen to like the idea of flipping purchases. It doesn't have to be an official business before you earn more than is taxable, just make sure to know the laws around what you'd like to do but the idea is that investments are extremely far away from what makes money which is people's business. If you're talking about investing as the thing you'd like to do, just know that realistically your upper limits are 30% for the super elite in the entire world, whereas 30% ROI for a business is very common and with the IQ advantage may be extremely easy. However as someone who's recently graduated myself I really messed up my university assuming all the work would be equal in first year to second and third year. If I were you I'd start asking second years to just give you the resources for the year so you can just work on that if you have extra time you'd like to get a return on. I also helped my family sell unwanted clothes and jewelry and personally made 700 quid over the summer without investment.
      TLDR: any business you are interested in will get biggest return.

      1 year is not a lot of time, especially if you have no experience. It is far more likely you will lose the money. If you decide to try trading i suggest spending 4 months paper trading only (no real money), then 4 months risking very small amounts maybe $10 per trade (assuming you were successful at paper trading). Then the last 4 months risking 2% per trade, assuming you were successful with the previous step
