Young Man, I finished a 93 exhd 4 months ago, same color too, brings back nightmares, its alot more work than people think, did the same thing, cut,fit,cuss,cut fit,cuss....as far as the lower floor pan I was able to bend that down enough to clear then porta powered it back then secured it. Couple things, daycab company makes a 4 piece ring and Id say thats why to make the install easier, If I do another one I will try their ring, secondly I hear ya on the NOT unibilting the sleeper/ cab on air? I know a guy that put aluminum rails under the sleeper and cab and only used the air ride on the back of the bunk but fastened the cab/sleeper to the rails and it works well.Lastly Im 6,1 and i needed the leg room also, but mine was a day cab so i just fatboy,d the cab.
