  • Do you want to learn everyday English? The real authentic English that people use every day to communicate? The problem is that there’s just too much English! Where do you begin?
I know exactly how this feels! In fact this is why language is so exciting to me, because it is so big, and so complicated and just deeply human.
I have spent the past 10 years in the classroom trying to motivate students to do 1 simple thing, and it’s the trick to learning everyday English. Let’s get started.

I'm 22 years old, and I have come across the wrong teaching methods so far. Especially, in my high school years. Every English teacher that I met tried to learn English by memorizing words, reading a lot, solving problems, filling the gaps, etc. You know it. But they haven't pointed out the importance of speaking and communication. I see the importance of communication through learning English with myself. We have always been scared of making mistakes and talking about anything. They said to us that you have to be excellent while you are speaking. However, there is a misconception. Because most people don't speak perfectly their first language, why do I have to speak perfectly? After many years, I noticed it, and now I focus on speaking, practicing every single day. Furthermore, I don't care about making mistakes because I'm a human...

    Khan Academy:
"Nobody’s born smart. We all start at 0. Can’t talk, can’t walk, certainly can’t do algebra.
Adding, reading, writing, riding a bike. Nobody’s good at anything at first.
There was a time when Einstein couldn’t count to 10.
And Shakespeare had to learn his ABCs just like the rest of us.
Thankfully, we are born to learn.
Slowly. Surely. You stumble, slip, crawl, fall and fail and fall.
    Frustrating. Confusing. Trying. Struggling.
    Until one day, you walk.
One foot in front of the other. One idea on top of the next.
Each wrong answer making your brain a little bit stronger.
Failing is just another word for growing. And you keep going.
    This. is. learning.
It’s not that you don’t get it.
You just don’t get it, yet. Because the most beautiful, complex concepts in the whole universe
are built on basic ideas that anyone, anywhere can understand.
Whoever you are, wherever you are.
You only have to know one thing:
    You can learn anything."

Christian first of all thank you very much for your time and your dedication. You are right when you say that you can't buy fluency, I speak Spanish French, English and now I'm learning Italian the two last languages that i've learned, I've learnded 'with the natural way, NO grammar, no Rules. I know that my English is not perfect, I know that I'm going to make mistakes. So, what! I happy to be able to communicate. I can speak and I know that I'm going to improve step by step. Don't waste your time with grammar, grammar only like a tool for understanding concrete thing, as less as you can, only the necessary. Read while you listen and please listen, listen, listen. That allows you to improve every day. create the time. No excuses don't say " I don't have time" if learn a language is something that you want to do, create this slot of time. Do that, every single day.... that’s all. Thank you very much Christian for being transparent and explaining all these things. I follow you and I really appreciate what you do. Eres un gran tipo.

I started to speak more and more and more on the daily basis because of your motivation and my self-discipline plus my love to English language. This video is the fruitful one that will help me to go further. Thank you, Teacher!

Hello, teacher Christian. I discovered your interesting lessons a few days ago. You say wise words and I, in theory, agree. Language is about people and not the other way around. But if you have a person (like me) who is living in a small town where nobody speaks English... How and what one has to? I know: I have to listen( and I listen to), I have to read(and I read), I would have to travel( but I can't). I have found also an Italian, beginner( like me) woman for a few conversations. But I feel it no effective exercise in the long run. However, I'll try to follow your lessons and your useful advice waiting for a better chance in the future. From the level of my writing( low) you can understand how it's true that languages are about communication among the people ( Ahh, Ahh!) Thanks so much. Cheers.

Yes, language is about people, 100% true. I am Italian, I am living in the UK for almost 4 years and yes different people, different minds, different coltures, different English...
Every day is a teaching class.

I am struggle to learn English as much as I can .I love it . By the way I am Italian and I have been living in California since 2018.
San Diego is the city where I first studied English , it was in 2012 I started from scratch and I spent 6 months. It is tough but I love it. I have found your channel recently and I like your way. You explain everything clearly and I hope to learn more English. Unfortunately to me your accent is British and English accent is way different here. Not a big deal. Thanks for your help.
