i really liked how you touched on everything, unfortunately i have no idea what all the terminology is as this is the first board I'm replacing on a 3d printer, so lots of useful information that i dont understand lol, good video though
Hi, something you didn't mention, there is 3 types of Octopus boards, Octopus, Octopus Pro and Octopus Pro with 1Mb Flash, the first 2 are okay boards, but the Pro with 1mb flash is the way to go, also the Pro boards are fully supported by Reprap, not sure about the vanilla Octopus.
Thank you, I liked your presentation of the board. If possible could you go over the pro version. I’m wondering how the motor jumpers, that control the volts, function on that board
i got this in amazon but i thought i was just getting the heater cartridge for my ender 3 v2, so lame v_v but mistake happen, not sure what to do now without new heater cartridge.
I have been building a custom 24 x 36 printer. I have ran into a snag I could use some help with. I loaded ocroprint on my raspberry 4 just fine. I installed the plug in for octoklipper and it went fine. I went threw all the steps of getting kipper clone and running makeconfig. It all went fine. I created the firmware.bin file and flashed it to the Octopus Max ez and it chander the name to firmware.cur so I pretty sure it went fine. But her is my issue. From this point the pi and octoprint can not see the board. When I run the ls command to find the address it says there is nothing found. When I try and open the configuration file in Octopus to edit it says file does not exist... What am I missing or what do I need to do different? HELLLLLPPPPPPP
BTT Octopus V1.1 Control Board. Two USB Ports? The USB C is for Printer control e.g. Raspberry Pi but what is the other USB port for? Please can some one explain, Thank You
Hahahah nice i randomly searched for this board because i received it today what a coincidence. Love Life. Great Video!
Nice! Hoping to see the pico next
Very nice review Rui! That’s a beast board! I’m using the Octopus Pro version with klipper and it’s very similar with some upgrades.
Hi David. When using klipper, do you need any additional module/board? Such BC1 board etc.
Great walkthrough of the board
Thanks for sharing 🙂

Usb-c is for powering the Pi.
USB-A is to plug a flash drive and print from it.
@@valen961 thank you, some USB cables are power only I hear, another marking con job IMHO
i want to attach drv8825 stepper driver, please can anyone tell me how to configure the jumpers
*Make detail video on btt skr 2 (rev B) board with tmc 2208 UART drivers*
I was expecting to hear where these boards can be a direct swap.
I think it is redundant to have three independent power sources.
You didn't explain the leds.
