Ian, I’m a young published prose poet who has been a fan of your channel for quite some time. I applaud you for researching these writers so their “forgotten stories” might be discovered by future generations. Just imagine if our technology was available during the heyday of Fransworth Wright, Edward Baird, Hugo Gernsback, etc., can you imagine all the stories that would still be available? Anyway keep up the excellent work :)
I've listened to like 100 of your videos so far and it's got to the point where you narrate some of my dreams no matter how weird they are. Love you guys, keep it up!
I must admit Mr Gordon that I am very curious to hear you and your partners’ opinion of the ‘Lovecraft Country’ series. I watched the first two episodes and while full of Lovecraft landmarks I can’t say they gave me that transcendent cosmic shudder his books do. Then again I figure there are things books can convey that a show or movie simply can’t no matter how valiant and heartfelt the effort may be. The notion of MR James translated to tv just crossed my mind and that produced the cosmic shudder I mentioned.
That was a hell of a climax, and an excellent ending. This dude is a great writer, and I had never even heard his name before. Kudos to you, Ian, for introducing us to so many great horror writers, who otherwise might not even be remembered in another 20 years. You are guaranteeing that we will remember them. For a long time to come.
That was excellent. The small moments where I thought I was correctly predicting what was happening were pleasantly sneaky and kept me interested the entire time. Nice reading of it too!
Your telling of the ghost story lights a campfire in my mind. I see each face around it only partially revealed with light, mostly covered in dancing shadows their macabre masks that each hide a laughing skull 💀 rock on with your bad self! You’re the best, this is my favorite channel on TH-cam
I very much like that the tale ended where it did and then picked back up some time after. Some writers would be compelled to fill in extraneous detail but Thorp didn't. Thanks for posting. I'll be listening to you again.
@Kevin Thomas. I could have used your support a couple of weeks ago...found myself surrounded by non believers of Warren. I held on with dogged tenacity giving responses that We Warrenites firmly believe He Lives!
These stories deserve so much more than 2k likes. If i were a hollywood director id want to make movies of this and all the other stories ive listened to.
And here i thought you were doing a pet cemetery episode by the picture... Don't judge a book by its cover I suppose. Either way another horrorbabble tale is another great tale in my book 👌
Hey, I love your channel more than I can say. As a fan of classic horror, finding these videos is like a gold mine. Your voice is perfectly suited to these stories and I sometimes play a little creepy music quietly in the background while I'm listening. I'm sure you get requests all the time, but it can't hurt to mention it. I'd love it if you would do Lovecraft's Horror at Red Hook. Keep up the great work :)
As much as I enjoy losing myself in Ian's voice on the longer reads these shorter stories are a nice reprieve from reality when time is short. But then isn't time always "short"?

Thorp McClusky seems like such an underrated author, I'd never even heard his name before you guys and now I'm excited to hear a new story by him
I cannot even find a picture of him online.
We can find 10,000 pictures of two-bit actors, but none of good authors.
Gosh! Ian, you really bring a story alive! I loved it, as usual! 😀

This happens to me regularly too!! Crazy haha
Very few things in the world are better than a Horror Babble haunted house tale.

I still haven't had the opportunity to dive into it. Nor the book. We'll have to see. Ian

I didn't know the name, but The Red God story is AMAZING.
Good wishes.
That's what she said "climax".
This was a fantastic ghost story. I really enjoyed the ending. Thank you for your well done narration. Have a terrific Tuesday 💜
That was excellent. The small moments where I thought I was correctly predicting what was happening were pleasantly sneaky and kept me interested the entire time. Nice reading of it too!
Nice story 👍 never heard this author before. Definitely would like to hear more
Excellent, as always Ian.
This is EXCELLENT, thanks so much 🍻
Sounds like another winner!! You guys are the best hands down!! Thanks!! Love the picture.

Brilliant, I agree with you entirely 🌟👻🕊️🍻🥂👌🏼
Thank you for your comment!
I will remember the visual I get from it.
Maybe you should write a bit, yourself 😃👍✌️
That was one of the best ‘haunted house’ tales I’ve ever listened to!
I very much like that the tale ended where it did and then picked back up some time after. Some writers would be compelled to fill in extraneous detail but Thorp didn't.
Thanks for posting. I'll be listening to you again.
Thank you!
Thank you Ian and the team. X

Pick up coffee three times, and put down again... Little pearls of story writing. :-)
How many times is poor Harley Warren gonna die?
"We hope you enjoy it folks"

Can't wait to listen to this one.
As entertaining as ever!

Love ghost stories 😃
Warren (Warning to the Curious), where art thou? 🤔.
Good wishes Friend and thanks for cheering me up today x
Oh no... where's Warren?! >
@@theangriestcatintheworld He is still posting videos from Saskatchewan (spelling? 🤔 🤣)! 👍🏼 ❤️
@@janetcw9808 Just as long as he's not dead...
Thinking of you Jen
Didn't Thorp McClusky write, Mars the Red God Laughed? That story has become one of my all time weird tale favorites. It made me cry.
Warren status check complete.
"You fool! Warren is dead..."
These stories deserve so much more than 2k likes. If i were a hollywood director id want to make movies of this and all the other stories ive listened to.
Marvelously magnificent indeed 🤔
Wow. That was unexpected.
That was one hell of a party, thanks!
I listen every night really love you guys

2:50 swear to god this part came on at exactly 12 am EST 👀👀 might have to sleep with the lights on tonight boys
Dan: Herbert, you're insane, now what happened here?
West: I had to kill him!
Dan: What?? He's dead?
West: ...Not anymore.
That looks like my kitter-bum! Except the eyes, my cat's are a creepy bright white with a tint of green.
Anyways, great story choice!!
Wait this isn’t about Mummies...
So...how's Warren been?
Hes still dead,...we think! 😉
Living in Canada.
I'm not joking, he's a fan of this channel and has his own x

Hey guys, sorry I'm late. How's Warren?
You fool! Warren is dead!
*Yay❣*
I hope Warren is ok.
Warren: Schrödinger's protagonist

I think this story, or a simplified version of it, was in a textbook I read in elementary school 🤔
Fantastic! Thanks once again for a great read 🖤
