    Question.
    On 5:48 he says that the 170 is berrying and 062 is the distance to the bullseye. But under the altitude its written B005.9 which means 5.9 distance. Also can see on the HUD that the berrying is 250 degree..... How there is this conflict ?
    I think its a mistake.... I think the 170 062 is 6 number coordinates of the map.

    • @GreyMaulkin
      @GreyMaulkin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The B005.9 is your range to the waypoint in a straight line
      The one mistake I think he made was by saying 170 062 is the bearing and range *to* bullseye but in fact I think it is the bearing *from* bullseye. So in other words to intercept bullseye you would need to fly 350 degrees for 62 nm. The idea behind it is to be able to report your position in relation to bullseye to others so they know where you are.

      @G E T R E K T US Military uses metric system. “The U.S. military uses metric measurements extensively to ensure interoperability with allied forces, particularly NATO Standardization Agreements (STANAG). Ground forces have measured distances in "klicks", slang for kilometers, since 1918. Most military firearms are measured in metric units, beginning with the M-14 which was introduced in 1957, although there are a few legacy exceptions, such as .50-caliber guns.” Also google history of metrex system and USA.

    i want to start by telling you that your doing gods work with your dcs tuts. However, I always prefer other youtubers tutorials when learning most planes because of the way you refuse to talk about things that you say you covered in other videos. I'm not sure if you do it because you think it's better way to learn or you just really hate having to say things more then once it's your pet peeve or something, but all it's doing is making your lessons incomplete. this video for example. I started watching it so i could learn how to read the hud, in general, but more specifically how to read the missile launch range parameters and unfortunate for me you just ignored the entire part of that hud symbology and told me that i would have to watch a whole other video your super vague about with out a link or even the tittle of the video. I know having to repeat the same information more then once is annoying, but that's show biz baby! lol I feel like presenting your viewers with complete stand alone tutorials that covers everything far outweighs any inconvenience having to explain the hud symbology that deals with weapons again. I think most viewers who start watching a tutorial about the hud would expect to learn about the entire thing. i get so frustrated everytime i hear you say "but i won't talk about that in this video" seems like it's always exactly what i started watching the video for in the first place. I swear if it wasn't for that i wouldn't know who a lot of these other dcs tut creators are. sorry for the long comment, but i know you really care about making great tuts that really help people learn this complicated shit. You essentially wrote an entire textbook on dcs moduals. So I felt i should share why prefer other youtubers videos to learn from. I actually use your playlists as a reference as to what i need to learn and then watch other tutorials just because of that thing you do. still watch your eventually tho. cause no one is more informative then cap. Cap just particular about how he shares it! which is cool btw
