    great video, at the part where they ask if you worked less than 22 weeks in the last year, does this mean 365 days from now, or in the year 2020

    I have a question: can you apply for EI if you lost job A from the covid pandemic, then got a seasonal two month contract for job B. But now the seasonal job B is done and I'm unemployed.

    In the page where Identity Information needs to be filled out, I cannot write my whole First Given Name. My First Given Name contains both my and my father’s name and it exceeds the letters limits. In that case how should I fill that column?

    Hi I am outside Canada now.. actually should come back in 29th March but due to lockdown in India.. so am I eligible to apply for EI? I know for CERB I should be in Canada. So if I apply for CERB from India what happens..? Is it just I need to pay back or is there any other terms like any legal actions.. plz help me out with this.. Tq

      As per eligibility criteria, you should be in canada to apply for EI. But, if you are a permanent resident, I believe you can apply for CERB. Please checkout this link-

    Very insightful video. Thank you. A quick question. My employer has filed ROE's with Service Canada however that was based on my old SIN number. After receiving my Permanent Residence status, I have received a new SIN number. Would I have to ask my employer to submit an ROE based on my new SIN now or would it automatically be transfer the record for old SIN to the new SIN?

    • @TheWorthyCrew

      You can wait for few days as there is some delay in the application processing due to Covid. Also, you can call CRA and ask about your application updates.

    Hey, my dad apply to Employment Insurance but he has some mistakes so he is not getting the money and we are trying to correct the questions but they are not answering and we can't do it online. Can I just apply two time? Plz answer me if u know

    • @TheWorthyCrew

      I think you should call CRA and explain the whole situation instead of applying 2 times. Also, there would be a hold time of 30-60 minutes when you call CRA.

    Can students with SIN starting with 9 and landing in jan apply for this?

    • @TheWorthyCrew
      @TheWorthyCrew  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey,
      As per the eligibility criteria, you should have worked for 420-700 hours in the last 52 weeks. So,if you have landed in January 2020, I believe that you are not eligible under this program.
      But you can still call CRA to confirm and ask them if you could be eligible for any other program.

    Hi, nice video. However, sharing an info below: definition of visible minority:
    The Employment Equity Act defines visible minorities as “persons, other than Aboriginal peoples, who are non-Caucasian in race or non-white in colour.”
    Listening to your accent, seems like from India or any South Asian country- which makes you a visible minority :) hope that helps.
