    My heart is reaching out to all those struggling in this time ❤ I've already got a video on the way regarding the CERB benefits, but is there any other content you'd like to see from me? What can I help you with? Comment below, or send me a DM! (I'm on insta @_ReadySetLife)

      Thanks Nice video. Do you know if you can trade stocks while on EI? If I sell my stocks at a profit. Will they ask for a claw back on EI payments? Thank you.

      I Wrongly took 4000 CAD in one months even otherwise i filled my application with EI
      1 How its possible they send me 4000 CAD in one month
      Cos as per EI they given me maximum 55 to 60 percent,
      2, As i filed my biweekly report with EI, I returned back money to EI
      3, Now everyone told to me that CERB send me money and not Ei
      They further told that i had wrongly send the money to EI
      5, please tell me its necessary from me to again send money to CERB or they will automatically transfer the money from EI to CERB,
      6, or if I again send money to CERB, then EI returned back my money or not
      Or EI forfeited my money and which money i sent to CERB,
      The CERB clear account with me
      7, please give me answer step by step
      One more thing please advice me in the current Situation what can i do
      Please let me know
      Thx

    Hello, I have a question that I submitted the report last week for the payment. But I just received payment for one week and for one week they gave me $0. Because they deduct my $500 for some reason. Even I Am not working any where. Did you have any idea why they deducted payment.

    Thank you so much for uploading this video. Very helpful! I had a quick question though, I have read that we need to apply for EI benefits within 4 weeks of being released from your job due to any reason. My question is, I had applied for CERB rather than apply for EI. Now that CERB is ending soon, would I still be eligible to apply for EI benefits? I do have the minimum hour requirement.

    Hi there , I have a question regarding Stat Holiday pay? How do I report it? For example , during the week when there is a stat holiday , and your company still pays you for that day which you did not even work do you include it in the total gross amount of earnings or do you report it as other monies?

    I received mixed information regarding how EI works right now but if you could confirm that would be great.
    First of all they said you can receive EI while working full time but receiving part time hours. But then others say that isn't true.
    I don't get it... Are they really here to help or not?
    Another thing is how do you prove to them that you are looking for full time work?

    if i have the exact hrs needed to qualify for example exactly 700hrs or say 702hrs would this raise some kind of red flag for them to call and inquire or is is an automatic aprouval? also i have another question when doing my taxes recently and was about to submit them i got a pop up window of assesment telling me i may have other options to look into and one of them was called CWB i think its some additional funding for low income and asked me if id like to apply so i said yes and as soon as i did it added an aditional $1400 to my return,, yikkes is this gonna get me in trouble down the road? i do owe the gov an overpayment when i was on cerb but they did not seem to be deducting it from my taxes even though i gotten two letters about it ,i tried appealing it because i thought the mistake was not my fault but anyways id appreceate if you or others can give me feedback on my two questions

    Unemployed for 8 months. Job seeking and taking meetings in early 2020 but then pandemic hit. Offered a job, but then it was cancelled. Do my circumstances allow me to apply for EI? Struggling at the moment. Need advice. Thank you for video.

    • @ReadySetLife
      @ReadySetLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi George! Hm.. this is a tough one, according to gov.can, “you will need to confirm when applying for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit that you had at least $5,000 in employment or self-employment income in 2019 or in the 12 months prior to the date of your application.” This leads me to believe that you might not be eligible, (depending on if you earned money during those few months of employment before the job search!) I’d try and call the 1-800 number. Might take a long time to get through, but it may be worth it to speak to a real person because that situation is definitely unique!

    • @ReadySetLife
      @ReadySetLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s for the CERB program though, which is Covid-19 specific (you’re hiring difficulty is definitely effected by that which is why I suggested that first.) However, with EI if you don’t meet those insurable hours requirements you wouldn’t be eligible for that program either. Really is all depends on the hours you did work in 2019 before you were job searching.

    • @georgemiller8370
      @georgemiller8370 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReadySetLife Thanks for reply. Appreciate it. I am slipping through the cracks for sure. Many people are. A great struggle. Feels like the government doesn't care about every citizen during the pandemic. Thanks for 1-800 number. I tried them. They are not friendly . If a citizen has not earned 5K in 2019 then no CERB. That's it. They are irritated when someone asks a question about the 5K. No help.

      Yes because if you qualify for EI, it will switch you over once that claim has been approved. You cannot claim both EI and CERB at the same time.

    I've always wondered. Say you're 65 and worked all your life. Since highschool.. Every year, you've paid into EI. Where does it go when you retire? We work and pay into it all our lives. We earned it. I'm guessing it goes into the government's deep pockets.
