- Ran the car stock on a dyno and she's made some impressive figures, also fit a JB4 tuning box and ran some very very decent 0-60 times.

That is an awesome performance gain. Really been loving this car a lot lately so I placed an order for a m240i xdrive last week, hope to see it arrive in next 4 months very excited!! This car has so much potential. That engine is just a beast.

I had a feeling the car was more towards 400hp and 400 lbs of torque thanks for putting this on the dyno to prove that. BMW always downplays their true power. The internal gauges go to 400/400 as well so that makes sense. Another great vid bro!

@@AUTOIDTV are you going to put on the M Performance CF rear spoiler? I was thinking about putting it on, but on the fence. For now I wrapped the OEM lip spoiler gloss black and looks way better.

I've got a JB4 to install on my G42 once it's run in. Also have the M Performance wheel pack, etc.
I've run a JB4 on an M4 and a 440i in the past with decent results but the new G42 B58 is really responding well based on this video.
Yeah the JB4 is a great mod 👌🏼. The B58 is an epic platform to mod with.

Awesome video. Do you know what the Ron of the petrol that was used on the car that was dynoed with the JB4? Only asking because on Burgertuning’s website, it has a 2020 Z4 (B58) putting out 433 hp on map 2 using 91 octane gas (which I think is 95 Ron?) Also, did you guys customize the boost levels to get the 3.5 sec 0-60 launch or was it just straight map 2? Thanks

400 to wheels or crank as stock?
I’m not surprised by the stock numbers tbh. I have a G22 M440 and stock, it was pushing out just shy of 410 BHP. The B58 is a great lump. Question is - do I keep my 440 or buy a 240? First world problems!😂
Haha, yeah first world problems. This is basically a smaller G22 - interior is identical.
@@AUTOIDTV Only thing is, I don’t think the 240 has as much visual presence as my 440. I’ve never owned a car that’s had so much attention! Probably because of the grille! But I’m sure the 240 handles better. Just waiting for Tony Lewis to get back to me with a quote - then I need to find one to test drive.

@@camelsac i think 440 has “mini 😬” mild hybrid on it. 240 doesn’t… i drove both and prefer the feeling on the 240. 440 is more a GT imho. As for the looks i think 440 is gorgeous but really too big for my taste… you get more boot but nearly same space for the people… really first world problem 🤣
Would you recommend chip tuning 220i (184 Hp) to 260 HP (+120 NM) stage 1, and would it imply that I would lose the 3 year BMW guarantee? Is it safe, what do you reckon? Many thanks.

For the newbies what is a JB4 and how does it work???
So, I'm sure you've gotten it figured out by now. That said, in case you haven't:
The JB4 made by BurgerTuning is a piggyback (harness) way of tuning a car versus a reflash of the ECU. They've been around a long time and made a solid product. I'd suggest checking out their website to get a feel for what it is capable of. ( burgertuning.com/products/b58-jb4 )

How's is it compared to the supra?
It’s more composed and capable. The supra is more engaging and raw - especially in its current tuned state.
Personally i wouldn’t recommend doing this, outside of warranty issues, it can all be detected, the impact on resale cannot be ignored

@@jonfrench7133 it doesn’t modify the engine it sends more PSI toward the turbos . Which isn’t out of the ordinary as PSI constantly fluctuates

I'm with you. That thing is a phenomenal package, I just can't get past how it looks. Maybe it will look better when I see it in person and actually drive it.
