550 euroes here in the Netherlands, so much cheaper than in Spain for some reason. Depending on how much import tax is, probably worth buying "locally". Shipping is faster, global rom installed from factory, can be returned without nearly as much hassle, etc.
It's called export and import. The exporter party wants to profit off its developments(if you think China is bad, then you probably shouldn't check out USA's portfolio), while the importing party needs to: A)validate every product(offer own warranty) B) store every product C) adapt every product(localized ROM etc). These things aren't free and nor are they done to rip you off. In fact, many "working class" citizens would rather pay more, but get the product manually and with warranty, without listing their credit card on some chinese website and dealing with deliveries and all the risks that the whole process entails. Now if your own country was developing and assembling the hardware and you'd have to pay the international price - THAT would a rip-off.
@@WirxawTanev buying locally for the warranty yes, but not so much better to save your credit card info on 'some US websites' either. A few major cases of credit card info leaking from there.

I think this tablet is amazing, running global rom and supports OTA updates, SD730 running smoothly no lags, build quality is amazing, great screen... I bought the OEM keyboard which turns this tablet into a laptop like experience which is very helpful in case you need to work on stuff, includes back cover which doubles as a stand which is very helpful, including both it's still compact and not too heavy ! Agree! The Tab S7/S7+ have such amazing displays, top tier quality LCD and OLED displays that look absolutely gorgeous! Best of the best out there when it comes to tablets. For such an expensive tablet, the Lenovo should be a much better tablet overall :/ It has the Snapdragon 730G. Tab S7 has the SD 865+. The new upcoming Tab S8 will probably get an even better chipset. The hardware and software on the Tab S7 is top quality, best of the best. It also has better multitasking and desktop mode (aka DeX). Also, 4GB RAM n Android tablets is ok, but 6GB is the lowest I would go. Tab S7 has 6/8GB RAM along with 128/256GB storage. Also, once you use 120hz, you will love it and will not want to pay $300+ for any phone or tablet that doesn't have at least 90hz. It makes the tablet so smooth and your experience so much better. The pencil is also better and with the 120hz is 👌🏼 In november the Tab S7 was at $300 on some insane Microsoft deals. When the S21 launched, they were giving the Tab S7 for $300 on bundles. But it's usually at $550. So if this Lenovo tab is more than $300, better spend a little more and get a real great tablet and better experience with the Tab S7. You just can't go wrong with Samsung. I switched from Apple in 2015 and it's been the best thing ever! :D
@@Hhubs_ but this Lenovo Tab seems to have low quality OLED screen. Most reviewers have noticed right away and showed how bad it looks compared to the best OLED screen out there S7+ and compared to 1 of the best LCD screens out there S7.
Thanks a lot for reviewing tablets again. I want to buy a premium tablet with a good screen for basic day-to-day tasks, and this seems to hit the spot for a good price! Thanks again, I hope Lenovo keep releasing tablets like this one.
Thanks Chris, for the XiaoXin tablet review. I was considering this as well , but vs the cost of what I want to do with a tablet, the iplay 40 was just a better bargain of cost, vs gaming, day-to-day surfing, watching show, running simple apps, and screen is enough for indoor, and slightly outdoor views.
Thank you for this amazing review @Cris G! If possible, could you test the cheapest best alternative pen for this model? Could you test the pentile screen influence about reading PDFs? How is the reading experience under daylight or during the night? Your videos are amazing, keep the great work!
Little Tip: Test Netflix quality using Test Patterns movie in the netflix. It will show you the detailed information such as video quality, bitrate, fps. Etc.
I got this via Bangood and it is as Chris describes it. Very nice. The installed netflix didn't work though and wouldn't let me update. I just sideloaded the latest and that works.

It looks pretty impressive, but the deal I got still beats anything, I got the Huawei Mediapad M6, it has 4 speakers tuned by Harman/Kardon, a 10.8" 2K IPS LCD, a huge battery (dont remember the exact size, but even with youtube and gaming it lasts 2 days), it has the 3 year old, but still very very fast and powerfull, flagship kirin 980, it has micro sd support, very fast fingerprint and face unlock, build quality is also awesome, pen support (im using the official huawei one that I got on amazon for 20€), even tho it doesn't have google services, there are plenty workarounds and I haven't had an issue using it without google services, the emui rom is still getting updates, and I got all this for 320€, I know it sounds crazy, and I did get it "used", but the reason I put it between "" is because it was classified as B used in the store (for those who live in Portugal or UK they may know the store, is called cex), and the device is flawless, it came with the box, all acessories included, 0 visual marks on the tablet, really, I'm surprised I was able to get a deal like this, its really good
That's a good just the lack of google puts me off. I had the Mediapad with the kirin 990, I couldn't use or review it even as so many apps (back then) all asked for Google services or they simply wouldn't run. It was so frustrating I returned it.
@@Techtablets I actually dont mind, even for me, someone who is in college, apps like outlook, microsoft teams, they may at first say they dont work without google services, but I just press ok, and they work normally, what I did after some digging was find alternatives, and I ended up finding the Aurora Store, it has the same layout and all the google play store apps, because it uses the same API, it even lets you connect your google account for it to check if you purchased an app or not, with this I was able to install all my games, including, for example, genshin impact, and it works without an issue, and with this soc, I can play it with max settings, for everything else I use alternatives, I tried and, curiously enough, Chrome works without an issue, doesn't even say it needs google services, but for everything else I use huaweis alternative, their email app, their calendar, etc, for youtube I use youtube vanced, I know vanced is kinda hacking because it gives you youtube premium for free, but its the only one that works without needing google services, again, like the Aurora Store, it lets me use my google account and get notifications, post comments, all normal youtube stuff like it was a normal device, so, basically, after a tiny research looking for alternatives, I found the perfect replacements and have no need for google services, more, my phone is a Huawei mate 20 pro, same soc even, and the connection between both is pretty good, multi-screen collaboration is really useful, the only thing that I find weird is that the tablet has already gotten the emui 11 update, yet, my phone hasn't, but oh well, guess I gotta wait more
I am not interested in the tablet. I am just here to support your channel. You are the only truthful reviewer elaborately examining devices. Please keep up the great work and don't change your style. Greetings from Turkey!
Great review Chris! Hopefully Lenovo will release a 2nd gen version next year, with 120 Hz display, a more powerful SoC, and wireless charging support. They're definitely moving in the right direction but I still think Samsung's Tab S6 Light is a better all-rounder AND it has the 3.5 mm jack.

Only interested to know if MS office tools can be used on this tablet. I have always loved your reviews, just wish a bit more reviews on using MS office tools on future android tablet reviews by you.
Hi Chris, great review again! I love this tablet and very well may get it. Of course, there may also be import duties shipping to UK/Europe I guess, but still much cheaper. This is the Lenovo P11 Pro but there is also the Lenovo P11 (non-Pro). This would also be really great to get a review of, though I couldn't find it, or XiaoXin version of it on Banggood. Not sure if you can find it on an import website though? Now it's IPS instead of OLED so less vibrant and also uses a funny resolution of 2000x1200 which is a really odd 5:3 ratio and what's more, on the width, doesn't fit any common video resolution e.g. 1080p, 1440p etc so there will always be scaling (unlike this P11 Pro having 1:1 scaling at 1440p with black bars). BUT, it is of course cheaper. In UK, Lenovo website has it at £230 vs £450 for P11 Pro which is a big difference, so there might also be a big difference on importing websites too. It's also snapdragon 662 instead of 730g. However, it also officially supports widevine lvl 1 and also has quad speakers so it could be the king of budget HD Netflix/Amazon tablets! I'm happy with IPS vs OLED (and the cheaper price!) but I do have a reservation about whether the non 1:1 video scaling will look decent or not. Let me know if you are looking at getting it in for review or not!
I have a Lenovo M10 FHD+ and a M8 HD. Be aware that update policy by Lenovo is a disaster. The upgrade to Android 10 created lots of problems like : no apps notifications, no automatic updates of the widgets, etc. Since 4 months they have been unable to fix those problems. I recommend to go on Lenovo forum to check that before bying. Lenovo hardware is very appealing for the price but the software monitoring is a disaster and that makes their tablets useless quickly...
Yeah, Lenovo makes excellent hardware but they are the worst company when it comes to software updates. It's been like that for years and there's no sign that they'll change it. For 350 euros I could not getting Android 11, but for 650+, HELL TO THE NO.
@@dejanstarwars10 Android 9 working properly is way better than Android 10 making the device useless. Problem : you can't downgrade to Android 9. We're asking Lenovo to make that possible but no... We're stick with a rom full of bugs.
Thanks for the review. I have been agonizing about getting this tablet, only because of the price. Seems way over priced given the 730G chip, but I'm am Android user and hate Samsung's UI so this build quality with clean Android is what I want. Great work
Locally it's overpriced, for at least there is this import option now. Before I had a lot of requests to buy it and I simply said no. Not paying over 600 euros for a SD730G tablet no matter how thin and light it is. But at 3 euros it's much better.
Thank you so much for the awesome review! I'd love to see a review for the non-Pro version, I found it for only 240$ but was wondering if it had a good display like my brother's s6 lite.

Thank you Chris for this nice review. I just received yesterday the Xiaoxin Pad Pro from Banggood. How can I check if it has the Global ROM installed? Is there a way?
Wow this is really a good android tablet! heard there's a nonpro version of it the Lenovo Tab P11 which is cheaper can you please do a review of it too?
I've been trialing my old tablets (HD 8 2018, Miix 2 8, Dell 7275) and ultimately decided on trading in my HD 8 for a new HD 10, $55 out of pocket. My primary use case is video playback at accelerated speeds, and a combination of streaming apps and Jellyfin as my media server allows the HD 10 to fulfill its use case. However, in my experimentation and tinkering, I always came to the same conclusion. How come iPads have Sidecar but Android tablets don't have a good equivalent? AFAIK wired Sidecar has GPU support, so it's essentially an iPad and fully functioning portable monitor for Mac. Splashtop or Spacedesk are ok, but are software rendered or rely on HW decode/encode. I understand that Apple tightly integrates software and hardware. However, it's not like Android tablet manufacturers don't have a similar level of control. On Windows, Project to this PC is cool, but still CPU-heavy and not really viable for mobile work. I just use my tablet for background or continued watching, but that's because that's little else I can do without DeX or some OEM desktop mode. I'm surprised Samsung and Windows haven't come up with a good solution to make the S7 a portable monitor for Windows machines with TB3 or something that more or less guarantees a recent-generation iGPU. Insanely high-spec Android tablet for media consumption with all the functionality a second screen can bring. I'm really interested in this P11 Pro, as I am in the Chromebook Duet. However, it's really hard to justify paying so much for devices with such niche optimal use cases. It's not like I couldn't use an Android tablet as my primary device, and a PC + phone already fulfills those functions well enough that a tablet is strictly a luxury product for power users or budget purchase for basic buyers. These premium tablets really need to start adding the real feature we want: DisplayPort Alt-mode in, with HID support. I would have bought an S7 yesterday if I could just plug it into my PC for high quality secondary touch display. Spending $200 on a quality portable monitor doesn't feel as good as buying a standalone tablet, but ultimately would benefit most consumers in the long-run. I wish product managers and engineers would recognize and tackle this void.
dude in what planet you are lol new updated one ui 3 has the option for use tab s7 / s7 plus as a monitor for windows 10 and only require being conected in the same wifi network and this feacture is probably now coming for the entry level tablet
Hope you enjoy it! Loving mine so far. Just waiting for the original keyboard to show up. If you watch netflix you just need to download the latest Apk install it to get it working.
@Tech Override everything fine, works well. This comment was typed on it 😉 quality wise its comperable with Samsung Tab 8 but of course its cheaper so the display/camera/sound are a bit worse but for the price its good
@Tech Override if you are a owner of a high quality tablet like a Samsung tab or iPad than yes its a visible "issue" but your eyes will get used to it so its not a deal breaker. Considering other cheap made in China tablets this Lenovo is the best. If you want a better one you have to pay a lot more for a Samsung/Apple device
I bought one from Lenovo store on ebay $110 off ($390) 4/128 It's really awesome Unfortunately, analog audio output (headphones) is non existent, and digital out is strictly 16bit/48kHz, but the speaker is excellent for even music playing

Hey Chris, nice to see you covering a very decent offering and spotting the import price. But would you recommend this over the iPad 2020? (which is $329)
@@Techtablets there are problem that cause short and power down when you press some place on back . Also some devices automatically reboots randomly and cube stopped shipping them now..
Fun fact, that tablet is not that price for US. It's about 641 USD or $600 from lenovo's site as the p11 Pro bundle, or for 100 less you can get the 4gb RAM version. Also, fun fact; JBL is owned by Harmon Kardon which is now owned by Samsung, wouldn't be surprised if they were the same speaker modules with slightly different software tuning.
Some Android phones launched this year are not operating on the latest version and to talk about a tablet dead on arrival with no guaranteed support. I would consider this tablet if it was launched as a Chromebook tablet with a stylus which makes more sense and practical.
What is Lenovo like for Android updates these days? I have an old Lenovo tablet (S6000) which never saw a single update and therefore quickly became a boat anchor. Hardware on modern tablets is good enough that we should be able to get many years of use out of the devices, but on the lack of updates means that they have a much shorter lifespan in practice...
I did not notice any problems with the Pentile OLED, and certainly not jagged edge pixels. If anything, the edges look smoother but slightly softer which is fine because it's plenty clear. The screen looks amazing but I'm horribly disappointed by the pen input. The face unlock is almost unusable unless you're in perfectly lit conditions.
Hello there thanks for another amazing video , hope you will make the one of the last lenovo yoga pad pro omg with HDMI included port , s100 rgb colours , dolby vision , HDR 10... It gonna hurt so bad this tablette
Hi Chris, been a fan of yours for a long time. :) i would like to ask your opinion if I should pick this one or the Xiaoxin pad plus? Their price here is 225 vs 220, and if the pentile amoled isn't really that bad cause other reviewer says it's really bad -.- that's why I'm considering the Xiaoxin pad plus. Hoping for your response chris, thank you and God bless! 😊
Great to see more tablets coming! Can't decide between iplay 40 and this one for web browsing, ebook reading, some movie/TH-cam watching but still mainly (like 80%) web browsing.... No Netflix or Amazon for me. What would you advise Chris? Btw I still use Asus 3S10 I brought after you reviewed it years ago. Not sure if I like the screen as I'm used to 4:3 ratio...
Save your money and go for the iPlay 40 for those needs I think. It's very good for the price. Unles you wanted the slim superior build, video out and JBL speakers.
@@Techtablets I ordered Iplay 40 in preorder process the same day that you did the review ( my order was in the first 200 )still out of stock, I just recommend buy another tablet

Every amoled panel has chances of burn in its kinda hard to say if u will get it or not. Since it's a tablet I don't expect it to stay at high brightness so the chances are less. But if u use ur tablet at high brightness ther is a chance
Wow! It would be great if they market it more cheaply worldwide. There’s little amount of android tablets with good stylus, and samsung that uses great wacom tech marks up their tablet offering so much too, like twice the US prices in my country. I hope there’ll be cheaper Mi Pad 5 (the rumored one), and I hope you can review that too, haha ^^
I think you might wanna upgrade you router or check your wireless functionality because I have gotten well over 650+ Mbps over my wireless connection at over 150+ft away from my router in a 4,500 SQ ft home thru 3 walls and into my far end of my bedroom... So I would say this Tablet is far surpassed any of the budget and overpriced behemoths from Samsung even tho I'm a Samsung Fanboii xD but take it all a grain of salt because everyone's use case is going to be different along with individual experiences using the device. Still fantastic review as usual and look to see more coming from you in the MINI PC space because that's where I tend to buy and discover the most use for the best performance!!
The Lenovo here in Denmark comes with the pen and keyboard stand. I see in a comment you had to order the stand. Hope it is priced nicely. It will be worth ordering together. Please review the keyboard/stand when it comes. I imagine it is at least as good (magnet wise) as the Lenovo Duet chromebook which I have.
Better, here it's 649 euros for just the tablet! Ouch. Local keyboard is the Spanish one so I got the US English keyboard and case. Not sure I'll post a video for just that but maybe a quick overview on my website or twitter.
Hi chris. Like always a good review. Will you do a review of the tablet honor v6? To compare with this tablet. They are so similar in price and prestation. I still have my cube i7 stylus bought by your review in 2015. Jaja.
Is this XiaoXin model really identical to the Lenovo P11-Pro for the European/USA markets? Or does it have a mix of Chinese / English software, a crippled Playstore and/or a Chinese power adapter plug, which is typical for Chinese products that are made for their internal market?
Charger is with a Chinese plug. Software is a standard global ROM, it's identical to ones on Lenovo tablets in Europe or US. Lenovo calls this ROM version ROW (Rest Of the World). Google services are preinstalled and work flawlessly. Netflix is also preinstalled. Hardware name of the XiaoXin model is different to the standard Lenovo P11 Pro model. More experienced users suspect this to be related to different hardware responsible for communication (different antennas, modems, and potentially different bands supported), as all other specs are identical. Different model name however means the XiaoXin had to undergo a separate route of certification and this leads me to the only problem I found with this tablet. It manifests itself when you try to update Netflix via Play Store and you receive a popup telling you that the tablet is no longer supported by Netflix. When you open up information section in Google Play Store, it shows the tablet doesn't have Google Play Protect certificate installed. The certificate can only be obtained from Google by the manufacturer, so this can't be 'fixed' by the user by any means. Nonetheless applications, including Google ones receive updates via the Play Store and can be installed without any problems. Netflix is the sole application I use which demands Google Play Protect certificate. This means the version preinstalled can't be updated and being outdated refuses to connect to the Netflix service. Currently the only way to get Netflix to run is by downlading its APK file from a web site such as APK Pure and manually installing it. It works perfectly fine after that (until a new version is released and you have to repeat the manual update).
Not sure, but connecting to a Remote Desktop may be a promising test. Are the fonts nice when the desktop is zoomed? How smooth is scrolling? How does the remote video player look? That will easily reveal poor screen, poor network, and lack of power. Or proof the opposite. And it will promote yet another use case for a tablet in general...
@@Techtablets On Android the best way to connect to Windows PC is the Microsoft Remote Desktop client, IMHO. For everything else I prefer Jump Desktop.
Very good tablet, but a very important reason is missing in cons, and that you mentioned yourself. Blurred fonts in reading cbr, pdf or even web browsing. It is a main use for a tablet and an obvious reason to choose others with an excelent IPS screen in the style of the Ipad or MiPad 5.
600€ in Germany jeez that's really crazy, great reviews as always. The OTA support will be different on the XiaoXin one? Or can you flash the global Lenovo ROM?

Halfway temped to buy a BT keyboard to do so with my tablet. If I didn't have a tablet already and if it had a 3.5 jack, I would buy it.

It's called export and import. The exporter party wants to profit off its developments(if you think China is bad, then you probably shouldn't check out USA's portfolio), while the importing party needs to: A)validate every product(offer own warranty) B) store every product C) adapt every product(localized ROM etc). Agree! The Tab S7/S7+ have such amazing displays, top tier quality LCD and OLED displays that look absolutely gorgeous! Best of the best out there when it comes to tablets.
For such an expensive tablet, the Lenovo should be a much better tablet overall :/
It has the Snapdragon 730G.
The pencil is also better and with the 120hz is 👌🏼
In november the Tab S7 was at $300 on some insane Microsoft deals.

It's quite a good pen just like the Surface book and Surface Pro pens.
@@Techtablets thanks! It's decided then, it will be my next tablet
Good choice! iPlay 40 is the best there is currently for cheaper Android tablets.
We need more android tablets with Snapdragon 800 series processors.
100% yes we do!! I hope they make a cheaper SD 870 one.

Thanks for this info and review Chris. Watching from the Philippines and this just might be the answer for what I need.
Amazing Philippines. Hi Rod, I suggest you watch the reviews of alldocube iPlay 30 Pro. It's about P9500 from Lazada.
Thanks for sharing. yes the sideload trick works or get the latest APK off APkmirror etc
This is DOA for me as Lenovo has nonexistent software updates. Did reviewers just give up on that and just not mention that in reviews anymore at all?
Watch my video I mentioned that. I got an OTA already but unlikely it will get Android 11.
@@Techtablets lol wtf? So... dead on arrival.
DOA for you, but a large portion of the general population doesn't even care about updates.

Yup, really need 1 windows tablet or both types tablet which has 8gb ram, metal back, longer battery, type c data transfer n charger.

Wow this is really a good android tablet! heard there's a nonpro version of it the Lenovo Tab P11 which is cheaper can you please do a review of it too?

Because a majority of the people unfortunately click on clickbait titles and see it as a form of entertainment rather than in-depth analysis
Greetz from Germany. This is a really good video with every important informations about this tablet. You make a good job! Now I will buy it.
I wish product managers and engineers would recognize and tackle this void.
dude in what planet you are lol
new updated one ui 3 has the option for use tab s7 / s7 plus as a monitor for windows 10 and only require being conected in the same wifi network
and this feacture is probably now coming for the entry level tablet

I'm loving this tablet, but I haven't gotten an updated ROM or security update since December. I hope Lenovo hasn't forgotten this tablet already.
Well, now I did get an update with an March security patch! Good to get the update and hope for regular updates and security patches.

Ah
You won't be finding 4:3 in any modern tablets, mate

You have the best channel for reviews brother!! Any future concerns with burn-in though since its an OLED? All of my smartphones have gotten burn-in from apps on the main screen after a year and a half or so
Every amoled panel has chances of burn in its kinda hard to say if u will get it or not. Since it's a tablet I don't expect it to stay at high brightness so the chances are less. But if u use ur tablet at high brightness ther is a chance
Nice review! At least more options for tablets...
These are on sale right now for $330. U seriously can not go wrong with that price on just the size and screen alone.

Love the reviews. But question. Do you have or have found a case/cases for this model?
The Lenovo here in Denmark comes with the pen and keyboard stand. I see in a comment you had to order the stand. Hope it is priced nicely. It will be worth ordering together.
Please review the keyboard/stand when it comes. I imagine it is at least as good (magnet wise) as the Lenovo Duet chromebook which I have.

Trouble is it has no Google services so that's a no go for me.
@@Techtablets ahh, ok. Yes. Yes.

Nice review. Btw, does the display of this tablet is oleophobic coating? Thank you
Not sure, but connecting to a Remote Desktop may be a promising test. Are the fonts nice when the desktop is zoomed? How smooth is scrolling? How does the remote video player look? That will easily reveal poor screen, poor network, and lack of power. Or proof the opposite. And it will promote yet another use case for a tablet in general...
Hi, which app is the best for that? I don't use remote desktops myself no need.

If you have the money i would choose the s7 plus its unreal.if small budget then pick this as its great tab for the price.
If you were to choose, Samsung Tab S6 or This??
Thanks, might be the best budget tablet you've reviewed so far. Any keyboard recommendation for that one?
I bouight the original keyboard for it as it's the one made for it and works with the pogo port connector. The only issue is it's expensive.
@@Techtablets now that is where the local Lenovo option is cheaper, and for the stylus as well! @keepcalmandtravelon
