The phenomenal afro Brazilian samba dancer is also a great samba percussionist. Cris Alves, is famous for playing tamborim at the Brazil Carnival 2017 parade.
To play the Brazilian samba tamborim is not an easy task, especially at the Rio Carnival official performance watched by thousands at the Brazilian Carnival. Cris Alves is the Carnival Samba Queen for Cubango samba School at the Brazilian Carnival.

I thought you said she was a percussionist, I didn't see her drumming.
At the Brazilian Carnival , many divas are both the Queen of the Drums sections , and also play the Brazilian Tambourine, 0 calles Tamborim (different from the one known in America ) . She dances and at the same time follows the "bateria", which is not an easy thing to do....She is mainly the Queen ( one of the most import figures of a samba school, but also a percussionist; hope I could answer your question :) best!
Cris Alves is one of the few Queen of the prestigious Drums Section that plays the tamborim while at the parade.. Most only dance and have the function to "present" the drummers to the crowd. On this video, please see minute 1:35 , you will be able to see her playing again, which is rare for these "high profile " divas.
