I'm a 61 year old American just now learning samba. I'm married to a Brazilian woman and I want to be able to dance with her. I'm taking lessons here in Florida, but my wife says it's not quite how it's danced in Brazil (it's a start anyway). She watched your video with me and said "now THAT guy knows how to dance samba!". So, i'm subscribed!

Chose your video first. No need to try another. You break the moves down so clearly and simplify. Now to practice. Tried to learn at SummerDance Chicago. Felt frustrated and no close to being able to samba at end of night. You’re the best! Btw, New Orleans has a similar three-step dance for second lines, and a slower one called “hand dancing.” Obrigada-a thousand times!

This is probably late, but just remember as a female when you dance Samba it’s on your toes/balls of your feet. Men dance Samba flat footed or on their heels. 😊
