I'm a 61 year old American just now learning samba. I'm married to a Brazilian woman and I want to be able to dance with her. I'm taking lessons here in Florida, but my wife says it's not quite how it's danced in Brazil (it's a start anyway). She watched your video with me and said "now THAT guy knows how to dance samba!". So, i'm subscribed!

This was great. As a Zumba instructor I’ve always really struggled with the Samba move but after watching this tutorial I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of it!

Chose your video first. No need to try another. You break the moves down so clearly and simplify. Now to practice. Tried to learn at SummerDance Chicago. Felt frustrated and no close to being able to samba at end of night. You’re the best!
Btw, New Orleans has a similar three-step dance for second lines, and a slower one called “hand dancing.”

This is probably late, but just remember as a female when you dance Samba it’s on your toes/balls of your feet. Men dance Samba flat footed or on their heels. 😊

I finally learned the steps. Trying to learn from a female instructor did not really work, they have heels so it does not show exactly how foot really goes.

Thank u mate that was very simple an effective breakdown and looks great ive been starting beginner and improver evening classes in latin and ballroom in a local Church hall but the samba is slightly differant but all good and the music is always correct if that makes sence Greatings from the Highlands of Scotland i hope to see more of your work keep happy
