My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress, and my turtle/Pura Vida tattoo on my leg is a reminder of my amazing time in Costa Rica. New tattoos - mountains on my arm & VV on my wrist because I didn't know what I wanted until 5 mins before I got them!

Hey Ben! Please don't ride elephants - the elephants are basically tortured in order to allow people to allow them - it's really inhumane. It's far more fun to observe them instead.
Hi Ben- You might want to check out Louie's vlog on adopting a baby elephant from a day ago. At the sanctuary where he and Raya visited, the elephant expert there said that people shouldn't ride elephants for entertainment. The only way that a human can possibly ride an elephant is after the elephant's spirit had been broken. The example she gave was what you were seeing with that agitated baby elephant there being chained to one spot. They were breaking its spirit. Hate to be a downer but that changed Louie's way of thinking and he vowed to never ride one again. None the less, it's still great seeing elephants in the wild.

+Linda Ferrington "breaking the elephants spirit" is the soppy term they use for westeners who they need money out of. In reality it's a much more practical reason. If you tie a baby elephant to a structure it cannot possibly bring down (large wooden pole, large tree etc.) then it begins to associate the sensation of a rope on its leg with not going anywhere, this means that when the elephant is fully grown you can tie it to a tiny wooden stake in the ground and it will not try to escape. Simple conditioning. That being said i still disagree with everything they're doing and if the nice language gets them money to save the elephants then so be it. If you want to see an elephants spirit broken watch one being hunted by lions in the wild - right before it is killed, it gives up, that is the spirit being broken.

lately, Ben's vlogs have been really amazing, but this one is trully on a whole new level, the shots on the bridge part were worthy of a documentary, so incredible; and the motorcycle action was on point, kept me entertained for the whole 13 minutes.

Elephant Nature Park is the by far the best place to go in Chiang Mai to see the elephants they are all rescued and it is an amazing sanctuary !!! Makes me want to go back watching the vlog !
