That’s M. Rick Brennan singing on this video and as well the one who originally sang that track as a Change member in the mid 80’s (« say you love me again » as well). Hello from France to all fan of soul and funk music of the 80’s.
Salut, Tu sais si Rick brennan le chanteur est encore en vie et surtout s'il fait toujours partie du groupe Change ? Et aussi de savoir s'il va y avoir des concerts de ce groupe en France. Merci pour ta réponse
@@CARMELO83510 Rick is still alive and well. It seems that he still occasion performed live as Change (But unfortunately it didn't have any live performance clip surface) His currently group that he play as percussionist is name "The Composite Truth Band" Recently he was appeared in interview about Change. You can also searched in TH-cam "TRUTH IN RHYTHM" - Change
It would be nice to see these guys come back and go on tour. Change made some very good songs back in the day. Of course having Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis putting their MOJO on it helped a lot.
In "Truth In Rhythm" (by FUNKNSTUFF channel). Rick Brennan said that he, Timmy Allen and Tobe Johnson planned to reunion in the future. And Rick said that he actually performing Change stuff live for a long long time. (But how much we can believe, Because there's no clip or live performance surface in any website. And he's a bit odd and weird guy 😅 But he's currently have his own live band as a percussionist)
this guy is a bit of show and he goes with the sentiment cant fault him at all such a strong vocal he is trying to make it his own yyou got to like it !
da tube surfer Actually, by the time this LP came out James Robinson had left the group so all of the male lead vocals on the Change of Heart album were done by Rick Brennan. So he's singing with himself in this clip. Lol
The 1980`s Soul, Funk, Electro, Hip-hop/rap enjoyed a surge of talented musicians, singers, writers, producer and production studios within the music industry.A lot of music bands such as Fatback, Dayton, SOS Band...etc,etc,etc... were effortlessly talented, original and distinctive within their musical genre. A band singing over a backing track!!! I don`t know what the game here is with these videos!! But someone truly needs a good slap for this nonsense.
I have watched a couple of videos of this so called live performance and I dont like it a bit. For one the backup singer seems to not know all the lyrics, she's eating some words (saved probably by the backup track) then does anyone know the guy in the white shirt, i don't get his contribution in this show, he's just flexing his obviously, well toned muscle.. that's all. The only great thing in this show was just the backup track.......
@@sonofyah-qx8fm I do like heavy metal but I also love funk. He may be singing onstage but he's singing to the actual original track like karaoke. I would never imagine Chic or Earth Wind and Fire doing anything less than actually playing live properly.
This is Change (Live version that led by Rick Brennan). But the reason the annoucer speak "BB and Q Band" at the intro because they're also performed "BB and Q Band - On The Beat" in this gig (It may be weird because Nobody in this group was a member in BB and Q band before. (But both Change and BB and Q Band came from same label and producer)
Beautiful song especially when ur name is MELODY 😊
Essa melodia dos Change fechou todas as gerações da América em um único lugar.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My favourite Change song. A proper, proper Banger. They can't make music this good today. Absolute Belter ❤

Something does not sit right with this video .It looks like a mime !!
they all look like they've escaped from shutter island!
Apart from Rick nothing else is original. And even Rick singing over the real track, shame
I've disliked this on the grounds that it's basically the studio recording being played on a stage and not being performed live.
Aren't you listening in wrong Genre ....heavy metal maybe up your alley ?

Horrible, me gusta mucho la versión original. Esto es un fake.
Sorry but the band singing in the video is none other than BB and Q Band.
