Incredible to think this track is 40 years old. Sounds as awesome and out of this world in 2021 as it would've done back then. I'll never tire of listening to this.
Back on 2001 when I was living in NYC. There WAS A MUSICIAN playing a guitar getting off thr 6th train on UES. my buddy and I leaving the subway, stopped and I knew only the first verse. And he let me join in and sing. HE was on point and I had my moment (as as a chubby Italian suit) at 34 years old.. to sing with him. One of the best 2 -3 minutes of my life. We stopped folks exiting the train as they were like..WTF?!!! I will never forget that tiny moment in time in my life. That man ALWAYS had a smile on his face when he performed. Truly a man touched by the hand of God. 3:51
I'll never forget waking up early Saturday morning to clean the house and hearing my mother blast this song. She passed away in 2019, but this song takes me back to those memories.

Luther Vandross had one of the PUREST, CLEANEST, SOULFUL-EST VOICES on the planet.
There will never, Never, NEVER be another like him.

Whenever Patti Labelle says your too talented to sing back up for her, you know your something special.
That's why he is called the velvet voice
No, there will not.
@@arthurverbraak2500 I grew up listening to THE Mister Lou Rawls. I know his work...another velvety voice, yes.
Johnny Gill.
Incredible to think this track is 40 years old. Sounds as awesome and out of this world in 2021 as it would've done back then. I'll never tire of listening to this.
real music never goes out of style
40 years ago this came out, loved it then, love it now, I agree with Neil , I’ll never tire of listening to this .
Literally just played this 6x🤷🏽♂️
Omg cars looked like that 40 years ago?!??!! I’m 21 so this is weird to me
Love the song though my mom used to play music like this 24/7
He's on the Google front page right now!
That’s where I heard this song and came to TH-cam ...I knew other songs that he sang but I’m intrigued by this one

This song makes me feel so good on so many levels. ❤

This song always makes me feel good about life
This vid is quintessential 80s with the Walkmans, boom boxes, etc. Mr. Vandross is one of the best voices God ever put on this earth!
All the visuals brought back so much nostalgia! Miss the 80s
Time capsule videos are the best. Luther's jacket is so choice though!!!
