What a great program. Every school should have something like this

This is how education works best. Experience is the best teacher.

Wonderful program! Gets children educated and involved in understanding and caring for their local environment. Hopefully this knowledge will stay with them as adults and make them better stewards of the planet.

This is an amazing program, and kudos for them coming up with the idea. And kudos to you for highlighting it on your channel. I'm a true orchid head and try to absorb all the information that I can on them. This is so very special, and I'll will be forwarding it on to my family members who work in the school system in my state. ❤❤❤

I wish I had that as a kid is a perfect example of the ideal I heard about while I was growing up of "I want better for my kids than I had" to me that means, if done right, you will say "I wish I had that as a kid" plenty but you will also remember that this is the better you had hoped for

I work in a school district and am in the process of starting a gardening club in my district! I’m hoping to be able to do some stuff like this for our native terrestrial orchids in New Jersey! A lot of people forget that orchids exist in many northern states!

I'm impressed. I would also like to see government buildings have an area landscaped with native plants. Wherever you live in Florida there's amazing native plants.

I wonder if this type of thing can be done up here in the northeast

it would be so cool to have such projects here too. I live like 500m away from 100+ old gardening school, but they are so bad at doing any events its such a shame..

Now, that's likely the kind of science that would have actually clicked with me because it's something tangible and that I could apply it to in order to make sense. I just got my first orchid. A little dead looking as it was on sale. Knowing that plants can make come backs, I got it anyway. Didn't want to pay $20. If this works, I got an orchid for $4! Moth orchid is my variety.
