This is fantastic. We were taught how to dribble when we were kids and you kinda just naturally got good at it or not. This is such a great way to retrain your brain and your body to work on the most essential part of football because it gives you more confidence and time with the rest of your game because you feel more in control. Great drills, I tried them today and I was exhausted afterwards!

Yvan Sainathan in terms of dribbling I think working both equally is pretty useless. You should obviously work your weaker side but you should never do the same reps wit your strong and weak foot because almost 99% of the time, you’re going to dribble with your strong foot. So when I do dribbling drill I prefer to do more on the right and do less on my left

Really if you okay play soccer all your life you will have a nice lean body. When have you ever seen a professional footballer that is fat or chunky? Extremely rare.

With this and some studying on Messi dribbling style I should master the short dribbling that I love so much! I already dribbled 3 markers on futsal and stopped on 4th, and in the fut-7 I dribbled 2 markers and the keeper to score, but in both situations I were a "sliming dribbler" due to slowness. With this drill and some studying on pro level athletes like Messi and Savinho I should freaking master it! Kudos for you!

All English people, like me, are fascinated with Americans, for some reason. That bus at 4:50 is exactly like one of those middle school buses you always see in American films, like Spiderman and diary of a wimpy kid. American is like some kind of weird and fantastical world in my mind, a lot of English kids say they want to go there, but in reality its probably just a less civilised and refined version of England.

For the first drill, when weaving through the cones other accounts show going through with each cone with two touches (one with outside and one inside of foot) but you do multiple touches to weave through the cones. You and the other accounts do it tightly (you more tightly which is the reason for the more touches i suppose). Which is better and what are the benefits of each?

I'm having trouble with the first drill, how do you get that tight control that you're showing? is it a matter of just starting slow and getting faster? Or force and timing?

  • @quirartedaniel

I was surprised at how inaccurate my strong touches were during the fast lane dribbling drill. Can't wait until I improve at it. I'm hoping it's the first step to dribbling with pace and being able to beat defenders consistently
