Ren has said John Fruiscante is his favorite guitarist. Also, that's his buddy Samuel (Sam) Perry, who makes most of his videos. This song was written right after Ren dropped his mgmt. He just wanted to do something fun and easy and wrote this quickly, and then they filmed this on 2 iPhones. Ans he didn't have dreads. He said in an addiction with my dread. Great reaction! I did some research and saw that the only Ren you two have experienced so far is Hi Ren and the Tales. You have no idea how much amazing music is waiting for you. If you want to do a side quest, Ren was in a band called "The Big Push," and every single song they have done is also amazing. Literally pick anything Ren has been a part of, and it will be your next favorite song.

You guys have one of the best Ren reactions I've seen, and that's saying something because I watch them all. Knox Hill, The Charismatic Voice, Cliff Beats, Black Pegasus, Anthony Ray, Flawed TV, Vibe Reactions, RykerRoad, etc. etc. etc.. I've seen all of them react to every Ren song they have ever reacted too. So I have seen more then 1000 Ren reactions (I know I have a problem) so when I say you have one of the best Ren reactions that's a compliment lol
"Through the walls I heard love dying" is something which willl never just hit me like a ton, of bricks. I feel that line A LOT seiing I was in that situation as a 10y old kid... Never saw the abuse first hand, but dang did I hear it...

Shout out to the Award Winning Cinematographer (driver) Samuel Perry-Falvey. He is one or Ren's best friends. He also filmed Money Game pt 1 and pt 3 along with Hi Ren, What Went Wrong ft Sam Thompkins. The first music video they went together was Children of the Moon. Samuel just started his own production company called Square Sun Studios in the UK.

This was an important song for Ren. He had a difficult break up with his management, and this was his first song after that. So there is another subtext to the power, in part is him taking full control as an independent artist. No studio, no management, no producer other than himself and while he works with a team of very talented friends, like Sam here who he met aged 16, he is in charge including directing his own videos.
I've always felt this song and "Genesis" are extensions of each other.
You can tell someone is new to the Ren rabbit hole when they think someone else produced the music 😂 Ren has been making beats since he was 12. Except for a few “retakes” where he raps over songs he loves, it’s all Ren, baby 😅 And you will slowly discover that it gives him a huge advantage in being able to make it fit just right with his lyrics and switching flows. It’s a full Ren vision through sound. And I think it’s safe to say that Ren definitely found his power.
