Idk if you've seen the interview of her on the Kelly Clarkson show, but it sounds like she was about to give up on acting permanently when she got the role on Schitt's Creek. And then fast forward today and she's killing that role! Love it!

The character development on Schitt’s Creek is the best of any show I’ve ever seen. It’s so fun and satisfying to look at these people who you initially despise and end up completely loving. Outstanding series.
I was devastated when I found out Schitt’s Creek was only going to be 6 seasons! This show has a beautiful cast and message. It will be so missed by so many people all over the world.
I’m glad they can end it on their own terms though

I'm one of those people who jumped on the bandwagon at the finishing line. Just binged all five seasons before the sixth begun.
Yeah I legitimately found it on Netflix the week of New year's, and the sixth season started about 2 days after I finished the first five seasons. It was unlike what I thought it would be (I thought it was going to be your standard stupid comedy show with canned laughs) but it actually got really good after the first like two episodes and I was hooked.
I am the opposite. I watched the first episode when it was first on. It was advertised pretty heavily at the time (lots of ads on bus shelters in Toronto) so it was pretty popular right from the start. I think when they talk about it getting 'big' later on what they really mean is getting international. In Canada it started popular and stayed popular.
I'm a late-comer fan, too. Just starting episode 4 of season 1 and plan to keep going. The first 3 episodes were great :-)

Timo Alho I discovered it this past October, binged all 5 seasons not 1, not 2, but 6 times now... and bought the 6th season on Amazon.

I love how they give credit to the producers, hair dressers, etc. So many people just take all the credit themselves.

Just watched episode two of this season, it is SIMPLY THE BEST, better than all the rest. Something that can make you smile and laugh 90% of the time but still have those gut wrenching moments that make you cry is truly special.
The standing ovation has me crying.

Just found this show. I am LOL'ing all over the place. The writing is so fucking smart, the acting so on cue and inspired, and the whole premise is such a timeless take, but imbued with so much uniqueness to keep you on your toes. I adore this show ❤️. Dan Levy is a genius in his craft.
I’m so happy people are finally watching Schitts Creek!! I’ve been a fan since 2017 and I’m just!! I’m glad it’s getting recognition because it’s truly one of the best comedies ever written and Dan and Eugene Levy are absolute geniuses this show is simply the best :)

No one deserves this more than Dan Levy! He worked so hard for this, and had so much genuine talent. He and Eugene are just genuinely good people, too, from what I can tell.
Schitt's Creek is so hilariously & brilliantly written plus endearing Catherine O'Hara's creative genius with words. All of these 4 actors plus the actress who plays the character Stevie are really outstanding comedians. So many good episodes that impressed me, to name a few...Season 3 Episode 3, Season 5 Episode 6 Catherine (Moira)'s East London accent and Asian accent, spot on! She does a freudian slip but quickly corrects herself when daughter Alexis unexpectedly passes the exam saying: “What a delightful surprise. Not that
I’m surprised; I had nothing but doubts… nooo doubts, that you could do this.” Dan's cute almost childlike facial expressions Season 3 Episode 8 standing in his empty newly leased space figuring what the heck is his entrepreneur business, Season 3 Episode 12 telling someone he does not tolerate foul language in his store, Rose Apothecary, “this is a safe place”. Season 4 Episode 6 Noah Reid serenades Dan - My hair stood up hearing the way he sang that song (no wonder mariah carey twitted him directly instead of the show's creator, Dan who is her fan). Johnny who is such a good guy and family man. Everyone has such good subtle facial expressions, especially Stevie. Annie Murphy (Alexis) never made it big before here, in my opinion is probably because she looks better as a blond (her real hair is brunette) plus maybe she didn't try comedy before.
the hotel used on the show is just 20 minutes from my house.

Really sad that it's over already. Only found it about two months ago on Netflix and binged the first five seasons in about a week. Just finished season six and I think I might have to go back to the start and watch it again. It's so well-written, with such great characters and an amazing moral sentiment behind it. I really wish they'd carry on.

I started watching at New Years, was hooked, so binge watched it, and am recording the last season. I love David, and his quirkiness, and when he and Patrick find each other, so great. So now I love Daniel Levy. And Alexis, so good, with all her expressions, and silliness. Everything about this show is just wonderful, and funny.
I started it less than two weeks ago and I'm almost done!
