Let's go Raman! Loved that you also talked about the problematic parts of the industry. Really inspiring interview. Helping out on some of Ramans work were some of the most fun experiences I had doing animation so far
As far as his critique of the industry goes, which by the way is so refreshing to hear someone speak about it so matter-of-factly, I I get hopeful when I see someone like him who is an artist himself but also the Director, he is someone who can really be in the corner of the artists at the negotiating table.

@@thevfxprocess I started out in Blender because the learning curve is so smooth and there's basically a tutorial for everything you can think of doing and am now learning UE5, but still doing A LOT in Blender. It's just super versatile and can handle A LOT more than people "in the industry" think. My suspicion is that many who claim Blender isn't "pro" enough simply have gotten used to using the other software and aren't even aware of all the add ons and capabilities. Like, I've done commercial VFX work (nothing huge, but great results) for pretty big brands (Armani/YSL perfumes) and nobody ever knew I used Blender for it.
@@thevfxprocess Well, Raman himself. But specifically, I like how he is basically a self-taught artist (besides his illustration background) who is making a really impressive professional name for himself. I liked his thoughts and advice about the industry and how to start (like ask a friend to make a music video for him). And I love that he loves Blender!
RAMANN 😭😭😭❤❤❤
