Man that song, every time i here it in the show it makes my hair stand, whoever made it knows how to make the something hit home. Konosuba is one of the greats and is one of my favourite animes and always will be. And this prequel isnt what we wanted but what we needed. Megumin is main character material throughout the whole anime series and becomes the second most important character in the series. Cant wait for season 3 this fall

I think what makes konosuba work where others fail is it knows when to make jokes and be funny and when to actually be serious it seems to time things well where most isekai comedies fail.
I love everything, the characters, the animation, the soundtrack, and over all, the explosive magic, this spin off is incredible, I want to see More of megumin

I honestly feel bad for arnes she was just a loyal subject trying to fulfill her lord to their true glory. She wasn't evil, she didn't really hurt anyone but was sexually harassed, chased by crazed over powered mages, tricked and swindled by megumin and finally executed with her master rejecting her for a girl she just met.. She didnt even give a fk after her death.
Megumin's powers are comical and parodical, the embodiment of a one trick pony. But hell of a trick it is. Sadly nobody will get far just outnuking everything and everybody in the way. Megumin it's pretty much useless/will certainly loose in any situation where the enemy can evade the spell, have numerical advantage or they're close, unless she goes suicidal. That + being a little crazy = She is rejected by most parties.
This is not the last of Arnes. We'll see plenty more of her. And some of her over there. And over there. And over here... And it makes way too much sense a creature of unfathomable malevolence is now under the care of Megumin like a pet...
You could say that the explosion spell was Arnes' parting gift, in that it parted her. A part of her here, a part of her there, and a part of her way over there staining the wall!
This is my theory but Chomusuke could be the same demon that Magumin met when she was a kid since first episode when she saw how the explosion magic looked like. Arnes and that demon do look similar which is why Arnes kept calling Lady wolbach her mistress.
I mean, the fact that Chomusuke didn't want to go with her and she tried taking it anyways has to count for something... Also, technically, Arnes paid her for taking such good care of Chomusuke, which she did do. It wasn't explicitly stated that handing Chumusuke over was part of the deal.
I can't wait for all these new shows, like: "The weakest skill in the world made my life incredible" or "I was born with fire in a water elemental family!?"
I am guessing that divine light is Kazuma being reincarnated and Aqua being brought along with him. I liked how the two realized how childish they were being after the little girl made a comment on them.
