Hello Philip, although Financial analytics entails the use of spreadsheets mainly, know that companies keep use databases such as MS Access, MySQL to store databases. And what this means is that, your financial data might not be readily available in spreadsheets but would be in databases that you will need a knowledge to be able to communicate with databases to extract these data. So it has not been a must that you learn Access, it is always the best to know it in your career. Sometimes you would have to build structures yourself in Access to manage financial databases and Spreadsheets could not work in certain instances.
