There is no documentary evidence (other than the pub website) the Jolly Sailor was once a vicarage. As the area was full of shipyards, it is more likely to have been a shipwrights cottage.
No but the Skipper on this boat was. His name is Max from Seattle , Washington, a really nice and interesting bloke now returned to Britain to live with his wife . Highly recommend a trip and chat with him.
I lived there in 1988 for 6 months. Had some nice evening drinks ("Absacker") in "The Vine" - lovely neighbours !! Greetings from Ober-Om/Germany

Another great video brought back some amazing memories for me as I lived in this area 10 years ago .I now reside in the North East.
