Same with my Dad. He retired at 47 with full retirement from AT&T. He started at 17 and once he got his 30 years he retired. He's 65 now. It's been amazing to watch my parents be retired so young and have all this extra time to do stuff together. Those kind of jobs don't exist much anymore. My Mom didn't work and his job took care of our whole family (3 kids) and we all had full insurance 100% paid by AT&T.
I just found your channel and have to tell you how much I enjoyed it! And your pugs are wonderful assistants😂❤. I'm feeling frustrated today as I've done so well on my no spend January and my fuel pump started acting up today. It always seems to happen like that!😅 Anyways, thanks to you for your video!
Ann, I used to buy lots of gifts like you do for all my nieces, nephews, etc. I loved giving on holidays and birthdays. But as I got older I knew I had to cut back. It can get very expensive. I now only give one gift to each child. And it works out fine.
I started tracking my money last year bc it was getting to the end of the month amd I was saying where did it all go. It slowed my spending down when I saw how expensive certain things were.
Instead of using a garbage disposal…compost. It’s green!!!! And it’s a better way to get rid of food. My brother’s friend worked for the city water and sewer department. He said no one should have a garbage disposal. They put a ton of sludge in the water that just costs the city more to remove. And guess who pays for that in the end???
My maintenance guy had to do that to my garbage disposal. I asked him how he fixed it, and he said I turned a screw. What screw? I don't know, but that's what he said.
Congrats on fixing your disposal. I also have used YT repair videos to fix a problem with my toilet and to replace bulbs in my car's overhead light. And my daughter and I used a YT video to fix my thermostat, which was cycling and cycling but not turning on the heater. We had to find out that there was a repairperson password to reset the thermostat. YT is wonderful for repairing household items. Also, if you post a question in the comments of the video, helpful people will answer the question. It is so nice not to have to call a repairperson for every little thing... Happy New Year! Congrats on your December book sales.
I got the EXACT SAME hardwood floor steam cleaner for Christmas from my hubs! I put it together today and read all of the instructions, but haven't actually used it yet.
I got the Kong goodie bone for my dog and the baby carrots fit perfectly in the holes for some enrichment. Takes her a long time to get them out. She is an extreme chewer so I got her the black extreme one and buy the fatter carrots. It gives me 10 minutes of peace and she loves it 😂
Simple formula for finances…maximize your income and minimize your expenses. Take half the garlic out of the jar, put it in another container, freeze it. Just about anything can be frozen. It saves a lot of money due to less waste.
Little tip: I tell ALEXA "SET A REMINDER" and she ll ask what reminder is you ll tell her then she ll ask you when she should remind you what time and day. I love this!!
Ann, are you eligible for survivor benefits from Social Security? I think that’s not just for spouses, it’s for any dependent. Not sure if you have to be claimed as a dependent on taxes or not. As kids, we got it when my Dad died in 1972, and got it until we were 22, because we went to college. Just a thought.
I wasn’t a dependent under my dad. And he wasn’t my dependent. We had our own money. I did get my mom’s Social Security after she died; she died when I was six, and I got her benefit benefits up until I was 18. Papa put them in savings bonds for me.
I do my own taxes through into a TurboTax; but for years I had an accountant. When I file my taxes at every year, it then gives me the schedule that I need to pay quarterly along with the forms to mail in. You have to do it, although some people skimp on it and eventually they have to pay up
I hear you about money, and I know you’ll understand this…we had an adorable black cat named Hastings that we had to put to sleep; he fought valiantly and we did too, but in the end we couldn’t save him. Along the way, we spent close to $10,000. He was worth every penny, but yikes! 😮
Hey Ann..loved seeing the babies😊 They are so adorable. Have a blest evening sweety. I enjoy watching your videos. I'm still trying to get my 4000 hours of viewing time. But I'm getting there slowly. Lol
I already have several work at home jobs; all of my jobs are work at home, lol! Publishing under several pen, names across multiple platforms, TH-cam, affiliate, marketing, etc. I don’t have time to take on new jobs. I just need to make sure I am maximizing the ones that I already have.
I just paid all of my car expenses already, so that set back my finances already this 2025. I am trying to save back all of the money I have just spent.
Girl look at you fixing the garbage disposal I always make my hubby look up youtube videos it lessens the stress & saves time lol I hope 2025 is a much better year for you it has a nice ring to it 2024 was one of my worst years so we will be hopeful.

Stickers come off great with a blow dryer for me! At least the goodwill ones do!
Me too. They peel off like butter and no chemicals used! ☺️
I agree with you about TH-cam help videos. I don't care what you need to fix someone has done a video about it! It's helped me many, many times.

Yes it is good to have that Allen Wrench! I hope you have a great year!
Walmart great value frozen onions 1.46..I use them and like them too
Sometimes you need to turn the screw under the bottom of the disposal
My maintenance guy had to do that to my garbage disposal. I asked him how he fixed it, and he said I turned a screw. What screw? I don't know, but that's what he said.
Yes its an allen wrench thing, the disposal kinda jams and that breaks it looses, at least thats how mine works
It's $5,000. on 1099 for Amazon and Ebay.
Lol! Great job fixing disposal!! Hired!! 🤣🤣🤣

I get chopped onions at Walmart. I don't like to cut them either. I also don't do real garlic, only "jarlic".

Your pasta sauce looks so delicious!!
I think ebay is $5000 now!
Now you need a TH-cam on how to fix a microwave! Lol 😂
Ann I don't sell breakable anymore. I could wrap it really good, and it would get broke
Yes everything seems to come due all at once ugh😮
Things are WAY more expensive...... a part time job really helped me.

@@AnnEckhart Ok, I figured it was a long shot! 🙂
My cookies turned out bad like that when I used margarine instead of butter.
We've only ever used margarine; my cookies don't turn out with butter because the recipes were created to use margarine.
There so cute I still miss seeing your Dad sitting on the couch by your Dad & him eating his candy lol
I love lasagna yummy
I'm a new self employed re-seller. Do you have to pre-pay quarterly? Do you do your own taxes? If so, what app do you use? Thank you
I do my own taxes through into a TurboTax; but for years I had an accountant. When I file my taxes at every year, it then gives me the schedule that I need to pay quarterly along with the forms to mail in. You have to do it, although some people skimp on it and eventually they have to pay up
Tupperware green salad container a classic who doesn’t have that in the back of the cabinet
TH-cam HowTo's for the win! My go to for how to do something, or figure out any problem, or prevent it from happening in the future. Huge money saver.
Ann did you try reset button on your garbage disposal? I'm like you. I'm having to rob Peter to pay Paul sometimes. Hello to the boys😊
Plumber Ann to the rescue!😁🥇

Forgot to add, this happened to us just before Christmas. 😔
