You have the right to like him. I don't, because I have seen many great conductors, I have studied with Franco Ferrara, who was the greatest of all, and I am able to understand the difference.
Remarcable indeed, keep up be strong everybody & love spreading good vibes, we are lucky survivors, time for paaaarty & enjoying such spectacular inspirations, fans are always here to backup you guys
I feel a little lack of tension, concentration and depth here. It should be sad, not funny. Concentrated and targeted, not relaxed. I have to admit that I would rather see Tchaikovsky with Gergiev. Although I don't agree with his political stance. I do not like the tendency of new generation of conductors to exhibit their skills and spread smiles everywhere. But the world wants to see it from them.
I just saw the entire performance at Medici tv. Sorry to say that overall it was completely different from what I expected. The 1st and 2nd movements were miserable.
The original translation of the title from Russian is passionate, emotional. Only the French translation turns it into solemn. There can be a duality of sadness and joy
His conducting here is unclear and a bit unhinged. I wonder if he looks at videos of himself, especially to compare his clean and concise work just a couple of years ago to the gyrations of this video. Like some other orchestras, the musicians play in spite of what is going on in front of them.
I guess that's why he's the conductor of 3 major orchestras, one of which the members of the orchestra choose their music director. And please post a link so we can see your musicianship on full display. Thanks
I think his Shostakovich no.7 with the Frankfurt RSO is amazing (and I'm willing to die on that hill). But everything else I've seen or heard him do has been disappointing, alas.

Critics around the world can say anything about Makela , but the reality he's now definitely the wunderkind of the classical world a genius no doubt. Awesome performance of Patetic sixth!!!
Putting things into perspective, the genius is Tchaikovsky___not this little boy! He is quite cute, however, but that shouldn't count in a serious consideration of his talent. Sometimes, too often, that's the way it works, unfortunately for us.
I was at this performance live and I appreciated it ❤ Thank you for making beautiful music and for keeping classical music alive ❤
I’m so glad that he will come to Taiwan!❤️
Me2!
KLAUSSS!!
Bravo as alwaysss!
Awful
@@martinevaffier5055 you? yes…
Ein toller Klang !! Bravo.
Furchtbar
Klaus mäkelä is my favorite conductor, the rising star of world music! ❤
Ah, he is a conductor? I had not noticed.
a new video with my favorite conductor always makes my day ngl
In don’t have anything against this talented young conductor, however it’s amazing why hype can do - lol.
He is the worst conductor I have ever seen. He is not even a conductor.
@@martinevaffier5055 can you explain why do you think this way?

@martinevaffier5055 So post a video of one of the three orchestras you are the conductor of!
Love this ❤
❤🎉❤
Did you teach Bradly Cooper conducting?

This movement is supposed to convey an ironic joy

SuperBrawoo Klaus!❤️
👍👍👍⚘️⚘️⚘️
He’s fantastic at sublimity, elevation, and transcendental explosiveness.
Bro some dude looks like Mr. Bean
KKKKKKKKKKK
That's hilarious! He's certainly contributing to a fantastic performance :)

More like Mr Wang 😅
The orchestra musicians surely must find his gyrations and pompous silly grin distracting.
Sure, thats why the best orchestras all over the world want him as music director...
Reminds me of André Rieu, which of course isn't something positive.
Why¿?
@@zafiroescudero8575 His exaggerated theatricality is a distraction, so the music becomes secondary to the spectacle.
Is bombastic the word? But apparently it's working for him, the fans are falling over themselves in praise of this shallow "genius".

I mean, he is pretty good. With the dutch orchestra's I haven't heard any complaints, and we LOVE to complain
