    I have to tell you guys! There is this girl in my class that takes every session as a competition, and she plays dirty scratching jabbing and when she gets my arm kicks my face and obviously takes it back full power and she has hurt me pretty bad, keep in mind that I tap before she takes it because I know how she is, she STILL takes it! Despite me telling her a bunch of times.
    I tried this! And voila!!!! Thank you very fucking much!!!
    She's still dirty but has horrible cardio so she gives up soon and I take over haha
    Turns out that's the only move she knows .

    Didn't know about the part you did with grabbing the leg - nice stuff. Btw, in Judo we were taught for any kind of cable grip / S-grip to just pull the elbow of the other hand - much easier than trying to overpower the grip with the legs in the elbow.

    • @thedarkknight646
      @thedarkknight646 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean? Like you anticipate when the arm bar is coming and turn into it and go with them just as they start pulling your arm back so can get to your knees and almost end up in a triangle situation? Because if that's what you mean I tend to do the same thing lol

    • @themushroomwizard
      @themushroomwizard 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +thedarkknight646 Standard armbar defense is get your grips, and alternate between pushing the leg off your face or rolling up on to your knees.

      Tim Slaterus
      Hey Tim, if he crosses his legs still go for the defense. Instead of trapping one leg, trap both legs and push down. You'll have them in a foot lock.

    Love this series.. BUT. Higher ranks immediately switch to an inverted triangle or bow n arrow. Not complaining -- I'm just a blue and I was able to fight off a black belt for several minutes with this series. Against lower ranks I'm nearly un-armbar-able... if that's a word. (It is now.)

    Shouldn't he insert his right hand under his knee by approaching from the outside instead of the inside? I have tried both angles (drilling at home only) and bringing the arm there from outside the leg results in a much stronger grip on the hand. Maybe I am wrong.

    • @fraserblack4016
      @fraserblack4016 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      when the s grip breaks your hand just kinda falls into the inside of the knee so it's a little safer than trying to reach around your knee. Going round the outside gives your opponent more opportunity to lock it up (I think)

      @stevenblahnik5152 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The opponent's leg that is over the head will usually be under the foot of the leg across the body. That way the leg over the body is putting pressure down on the foot of the leg across the head, keeping pressure on the head. That means that nothing is blocking you from putting their leg in between your legs like Keenan says.
