Best thing Gary has ever said.
the truth is beautiful
It will go into the Oxford book of quotation
Gary is speaking from personal experience. He himself was part of Fergie’s Fledglings (mocked by Alan Hansen) and he was manager of Valencia (bought by Singapore billionaire Peter Lim). So he is qualified to comment about kids outplaying teams financed by wealthy guys coached by lightweight manager.
Apart from ooooooooooooow Torres
Honestly it might be the most iconic quote of the 2020's so far
As a chelsea fan, 110% spot on
Agree I was glad Gary said it, if this doesn't give the club the motivation to go and win something then we are truly finished
@@Herondinho absolutely, this needs to hurt the players, this needs to make them seethe and want to do better and win. They need to rise to the occasion.

What I love about Poch is his consistency……. At Spurs he was never able to get them over the line , he went to PSG and struggled to get things over the line and now he is at Chelsea it’s the exact same thing . Poch is probably a genuine nice guy but tactically , passionately - he’s just not got it vrs the managers who are successful.
When you think about it , makes sense 💯
I think he's quality building teams from scratch and should probably manage a team that needs a rebuild and go from there. But like you said when it comes to crossing the final hurdle, he struggles. I still think it's mad he played a Kane that recently came back from injury over Lucas who got them to the CL final.
You can’t blame poch for missed easy chances
He did win French League.
@@curtis9320couldn’t he play both though? Surely there was another spot for moura if he desperately wanted Kane
The fact that he felt obliged to explain himself is what's most irritating about this. People complain about pundits being too PC, being too cliche and being on the fence, but as soon as someone says what they really think, there's uproar and if he doesn't explain and/or apologise for it, their job is under threat.
Exactly.
The world has become softer than cotton candy 😂
People are pretty naive. Chelsea sold whole team and bought new team altogether. Total epl matches these team has played fit Chelsea altogether is probably equal or less than just VVD appearances for Liverpool. And Liverpool too spent billion dollars on their squad but over few seasons rather than what Chelsea did in one season. And Klopp took 4 years and close to billion dollars of signings to win his first trophy at Liverpool 😂😂
He was being unfair tho. They had a younger team than liv
He wasn’t a pundit at the time, he was a commentator, so should’ve remained professional instead of making up shitty lines about young players

Gotta hand it to Gary as a Liverpool fan. For all I dislike about what he represented in his career, his punditry is spot on most times and a great example would be his words last night and tonight.
His commentary on the other hand is disgraceful.
@janniknielsen9292 his football management wasn't great either
And you guys have done everything perfect in your life huh?
A one club man who put in a great performance in a European cup final. What’s not to like about his career? As a United fan it’s why I like Carra and Gerrard, and why I’m uneasy about Owen even if he abandoned his one clubmanship to play for Madrid and my club. He slotted one against City to help us win and I still don’t hold him in high regard. Carra and Gary had stellar careers.
When the agenda fits your club, it sounds great...
As a Chelsea fan, no explanation needed. Actually agree 100%

Poch stated before the game: 'Don't judge us on titles'. That was riven with fear. Klopp said: 'If we have 11 players we go for it". There's the difference in mentality and it bled through to the respective teams.

“Too far for Ronaldo to think about it”
@@dillzzy5141 iconic quote
Thanks Dave 💀
Gary has the right to call us that
It's going to stick 😂
It's less about the cowardice of Pochettino, but more about the outstanding gallantry that Klopp embodies. It's incredibly harsh from Neville, but as a pundit his job is to make sensationalized headlines.
Chelsea are at the start of a rebuild, it's Poch's first season, sure Liverpool had injuries but they still had their spine in VvD, Endo and Diaz, their youngsters have been drilled with the same philosophy as the senior team ever since Klopp arrived.
No managers would want to get a win against Klopp more than Poch, who had lost to Klopp in the UCL with a weaker side, he was much closer this time, but he must be so disappointed with his players because they conceded from a set piece, twice, since VvD had already scored one in normal time but was bizarrely disallowed.
Chelsea again were not clinical in front of goal, it shows the team can create chances against the best, and being undefeated against City this season after 2 games is not something any team can do.

Well said. Applies to life also.
Wise words bruv
On the other hand, they could've easily won it if they converted their chance on the counter. They sat back knowing they were tired and had players like Chilwell cramping up, kept Liverpool in front of them and minimized theirs chances. Could also argue Liverpool youngsters playing their first major final would also be at a disadvantage in a penalty shootout. Football is a low-scoring game of fine margins. Had their gamble paid off, everyone would be sitting here saying that they showed maturity and nouse, that Poch finally figured out how to win important games, "this is what Mourinho in his pomp would have done" etc. It was a valid strategic choice that just didn't work out, imo. I was saying to my boss (who's a Chelsea fan) the other day that as a Gooner, I used to fear that old Chelsea side that had Drogba, Cole, Terry, Lampard and Cech because they were proven winners who consistently stepped up in big games so you could never write them off. Bang on Gary! Oh, and don’t try to back pedal on your comment, you don’t need to, Chelsea did bottle it, 100% they did. Props to you for giving a balanced review of the game 👏
My view is that Chelsea were not a "TEAM" it was like they were unable to work together, I wonder if those players are paid too much. I think the players had little motivation to perform at their best. Perhaps linking pay to "current" not "historical" performance would motivate them some more? I think at Liverpool they are motivated to play for eachother, the fans, the city and the management team. Chelsea weren't facing one team, but 4 who are one. If one of those teams is not putting in a full shift then it impacts them all. All those teams win or fail together. Having watched Chelsea and listening to the fans, the manger and pundits it's clear that they have a unity problem. Honestly I think it's the same at Man United, the players are playing for themselves and not for eachother ,the fans or the city of Trafford, not for the management, based on what I see looking in from the outside, the players are not really motivated to play well for either of those mangers or fan groups. Klopp, has made sure that he gets the kinds of players who will, play for eachother, the fans, the city for all the staff at the club and I can honestly say that even when results don't go the way you want, it's rarely because the players on the pitch haven't given it their all. The most cushty job in the world at the moment is being a Chelsea player on one of those 7 year multi millionaire deals especially if your a young player, who can wait out their contract on easy mode. Why put yourself at risk of injury and getting too tired by putting in 100% when you can coast along and give 50% and still get paid, the worst that can happen is that you get some stick on social media and TV, and if it gets really bad you can get your publicist to blame it on the manager, after all he can be sacked and you cannot, not after they paid £100mil or more to get you and your personal management team got you a sweet contract.......ain't it the life.

100% explanation from Gary. At first, because of the uproar, I thought he said something out of line. But he's 100% correct. Poch and the Players pit their tail between their legs in the extra time. It was painful to watch. They froze, and stopped playing at the most critical moment. Fans too, at the stadiums, they just kept quiet and Liverpool was all over, on and off the field.
Thanks gary at the end 😂
Poch has done it a few times this season, thought the game was done and made changes and then the other team smells blood. Perhaps Gary could have used a different word but the Chelsea players need to own it and prove him wrong for the rest of the season and beyond.
Both have young players but Liverpool have high expectations, no matter who you are you have a job to do - so many youngsters have filled in throughout the season and done the job.
