  • Ride around Ft. Gibson discussing what I like and don't like about the CSC TT50 and some footage of a couple trails at Camp Gruber ORV Park.
    I plan to give away all the money from my first monetized video (and many after that). I'm thinking about either picking a random person off the street, tipping it to wait staff, or giving it to one of my free mowing video homeowners. If you have suggestions let me know. I also plan to give away my Cub Cadet RZT 54 to one of the free mowing video homeowners, so please subscribe to see that! I have been blessed, and God has always made a way where there seemed to be no way in my life. I want to be a part of bringing a blessing to other people, and that is the goal of this channel. Great video. Im off grid and the roads are very rough. Been looking at klr 650 and DR 650.. your video was a great for letting me know this bike can also get through some mud and rough terrain for a great price.

    I got the hawk dlx and I have been having nothing but issues with the efi now I have to get a rediculas priced scanner to read the codes lol. I really with I have gone with the tt250. I am mechanically inclined I got the dlx so I really wouldn't have to deal with the carb and now I really with I wouldn't of. I got 2 warm up cycles out of it check engine light came on started to run really bad and died lol. I reset the computer did a valve adjustment went threw all the obvious issues and still nothing. I wasnt expecting much for a 2500 bike but geez lol. I'm shure not all the dlxs are bad but the experience I have had with it is very frustrating. Hopefully this helps with your decision if you are between the hawk and the tt.

      That's good information. I'm in the market for another bike and had considered the Hawk DLX. Guess I'll keep shopping for now.

      Yea I would the Orion bikes seem pretty well built. Hopefully this helps if I got the hawk I would deffently get the carb version and u get more h.p out of it than the e.f.i

    I just got a TBR7 (basically the same bike) built about a week ago. First time valve adjustment, set them at about .003. Starts and runs great but a little clicky, seems I hear some of this in yours, so I guess yours is about the same. Nice job navigating the mud with those on/off road tires.

    • @grassandgears
      @grassandgears  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah mine ran best when the valves were a little noisy. I sold mine and regret it! Gonna have to get something else soon. Might look at the Brozz or TBR7. How do you like yours?

      @@grassandgears Well, I’ve only put about 50 miles on it, but I really like it for the money. I have a carb and a set of jets coming in tomorrow, and a 19 tooth front sprocket. I’ll mainly be on blacktop roads. I would have ordered a Hawk, but wanted street legal.

    Great video Okie, loved the street riding and fairly technical off road riding. I have also been looking at the Hawk 250 and stumbled upon your video. Any insight on Hawk 250 vs. the CSC TT250?

    • @grassandgears
      @grassandgears  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My buddy had a Hawk 250 I got to ride a couple of times. It's a good bike too, but was a little more buzzy since it wasn't counter balanced. The front suspension on the CSC seemed a little beefier. When both were stock I thought the hawk sounded better. You might look at the Brozz. It's kind of falls in between the CSC and the Hawk and would probably be the one I got if I was ever to get another China bike. Either the Brozz or the Orion RXB.

      @@grassandgears Thanks, that's super helpful. Greetings from Northern Michigan, the absolute champion of sandy and muddy trails. Current bike is a 1980 Yamaha XT250 that I have owned for nearly 30 years. That bike is in great shape and an excellent runner, but our trails get fairly remote and would like something new. Used Japanese bikes are outrageously expensive, so the TT looks like a good alternative. Will check out the Brozz.

      @@brianhalliday2384 I realize I'm quite late to a response here, but I own a Hawk 250 and have almost 10,000 miles on it. I've done quite a bit of mods, but it has been virtually problem free and the vast majority of parts from the TT250 will fit on the Hawk. My issue with the Hawk is parts availability and support. Moreover, the TT250 comes stock with many of the upgrades that folks make to their Hawks (digital dash, LED lights (except headlight), better mirrors, much better rear drive/sprocket design, much better front and rear suspension, airbox on TT250 is *actually* waterproof (Hawk is junk), and the TT engine is counterbalanced. CSC is excellent with post-purchase support and you can purchase every nut and bolt on the TT250 if you need replacement parts. They also have maintenance tutorials and videos online and you can call CSC and speak to a mechanic if need be. Moreover, both bikes are very easy to work on and maintain if you're mechanically inclined.

      @@dustinsegers4534 thanks for the response. Sure wish they had local dealers in the Midwest. I agree the additional features, plus the distributor support are worth the additional money. Once our tundra is thawed, I may just order one. If you are happy with the bike at 10k, that's a great testimonial.

      Sure thing! You'll need to order the seals from CSC, but here are the bearings. Rear www.amazon.com/Timken-6302-2RS-Radial-Bearing-Contact/dp/B07DFG8SL1

      Wow if I need 2 bearings for each wheel the rear ones are like 81 bucks each !! So 160 for the rear wheel and like 18 bucks for the front .. that's really high to me idk

      You could shop around some and probably find them even cheaper... wouldn't be a bad idea to buy a couple extra in case something goes wrong during the install. All that matters is the 6302-2RS number for the rear, and 6201-2RS for the front.
