    Australian Owlet-nightjar, so cute, cannot believe the wings are so small LOL. Thanks for sharing.

      They really are so cute! And amazingly small. During the day they don't really do that much... but it was cool to see them move just a little bit & to see those little wings 😀

    OmG! That was so exciting! I loved your journey and what you saw. I felt as excited as you were and especially that little marsupial. Made my day ❤❤❤❤

    The Antechinus was the star of the show for me, such a cutie and I’ve yet to encounter one. Really nice video.

      Thank you so much! 😀 Yes! I agree about the Antechinus! He really was a highlight and it was the first time we'd seen one up close for so long

    Superb as usual. My brother in law has these(ONJ) breeding regularly on his property.

      Wow that's brilliant!! 😀 Must be great to see them enjoying the environment & breeding there!! They are truly amazing little birds. We were so excited to find these guys enjoying a spot of morning sun. Every time we go back to Crusoe we look for them!

      Mostly they are seen like you did looking out of hollows. Some times 2 filling the frame.@@naturephotographychallenge

    Glad to see you back at Crusoe. It took me a long time to meet up with the ONJs

      It has taken us a few trips over the last few years too 😀 We heard they were there but didn't know where they were (and even then it's a gamble as to whether they want to pop out to get some sun at the time of our visits).

    What a delightful video. To be able to see so much was really exciting. Also I must commend you guys on your choice of background music, it’s really nice. Never monotonous like some other channels I’ve seen.

      Thank you! ❤ It always takes such a long time to find just the right music to give the right feel to a video. Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Monotonous music can really ruin a video! 😃

    Lovely footagee of the owlet nightjar, I'm planning a trip to see them myself. What time in the morning did you see them?

    • @naturephotographychallenge
      @naturephotographychallenge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brilliant!! I hope you get to see them! 😃 I can't remember the exact time but it was between 8-10am(ish)... but we've been back another time & saw Olivia in the middle of the day. I think it's just luck really so if you don't see either of them on the first round, have a bit of a walk around & come back for a second or third look. Good luck! 😀

    Owlet Nightjars and Tawny Frogmouths should be elevated to Owl status! Just like dwarf planets should be planets(Pluto!) Great video thx.
