Windows 10 would stop the drivers mid stage for "repairs" take a tyre off, hurt its back and call it a day leaving the crew stranded in the middle of nowhere, meanwhile Windows 10 would head back to service park to proclaim itself the greatest ever.
this is where thought and execution of engineering show true genious. when the entire car can basically be rebuilt in less than an hour. impressive work buy the mechanics. they did this job like a well conducted symphony
I really can't understand why F1 gets so much more and better coverage than WRC. I love F1 but its been a procession for so many years while WRC is so much more exciting to follow. The things WRC drivers do with these cars is in my opinion well above what is seen in your average F1 grand prix and thats from an F1 fan.
@Robert Vanyo You want to see blood and deaths? In Estonian Rally Tänak pushed 141,4 km/h average speed in S14 stage, you have no fucking idea how fast it is in gravel surface. th-cam.com/video/qZlyCV5bQh0/w-d-xo.html
@Robert Vanyo the only mechanics allowed to touch the car have to wear the armbands the rest are there to carry away the pieces or bring in pieces as needed, or discuss what needs to be fixed etc..
Amazing , for me , in fact, I have been wanting to watch this nice scene that all mechanics are doing fixes to this WRC car very much. I must say you thank you very much you did set up this video.
Will be more when the rally is back in Aus this year :D throughout this year I am covering the QLD championship if you wanted to check that footage out :D
The next morning the team has another 15 minutes service, before tackling the next day stages. Wheel alignment , new tires, geometrical setup and ride heights will be adjusted as they get to know roads condition on that day.
It's certainly a spectacle to watch even more so in person. I think my favourite smile of the whole experience was when Tanak drove in, the machanics all sighed knowing they were going to have to bust ass to get it done... this was also immediately after they rebuilt lappi's car. Tanak.. he just smiled, said there you go boys and toddled off to the lunchroom.
It'd be like me to get in the newly fresh and clean Yaris then bin it a quarter km into the next stage. I couldn't face the crew if that happened hahaha
LOL i felt like clapping at the end of that video too.. They Rebuilt a car in less than 45min while the shop down the street took 7 days to fix my fender.
So I get they did all corners for cv joints, suspension and brakes. 1 Why did they pull the radiator and intercooler and seemed to be working on the engine 2. What were the guys under the car doing, one guy was under the engine doing what, then a guy pushed in a long trolley jack like he was doing a gearbox change.
Intercooler and radiator were damaged during the stages, they still worked but not as well as they should. I can't recall if the gearbox was changed but it is not an uncommon thing to be swapped out at service for the wrc guys

Yup, they did suspension, brakes, Gearbox, Turbo, driveshafts and bodywork from memory, this is of course ignoring the fact that they literally JUST rebuilt Lappi's car in 20 mins before starting on Tanak's.
It's either not relevant or the suspension works that out on the fly. From memory wheel alignment is more about getting even tyre wear which these guys could not care about.

They have a limited amount of time so they had to wait for when the timer started. I believe 45 minutes or an hour. Not sure on the actual length. Also only the guys with the orange arm bands are allowed to touch the car, everyone else is helping to clean up and doing stuff on individual parts that are not connected.
@@moseskinuthia1069 It’s just a marker for who is allowed to touch the car. I believe they can move the arm bands to different people if they want. Part of the game of rally is they have a limited amount of time to fix the car without receiving time penalties, and they are also only allowed to have a limited number of people working on the car at a given time.
Full build of a WRC car is roughly 1 Million Dollars. You can actually order them from the teams, although Im pretty sure its only M Sport that sells their WRC spec fiesta, I dont think the other teams offer that.. at least not the same spec. M Sport will sell you the same car they race tho. BUT having said all that, who actually has that ammount of money to buy one :p
only the guys with the armbands are allowed by the rules to work actively on the car. and only a certain number of mechanics is allowed also. the officials are looking for that.
That's better than any movie 🎬 to watch. Looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
That was amazing to watch. Everyone with a job role, and if you were not involved, stand back. Brilliant to watch.
What an outstanding example of teamwork, everyone helping out when and where they can.
The mechanics were so confident and relaxes. Great job guys. 😎
If you know what to do, you are usually relaxed and you are doing your job better. The worst thing is to work in a job you dont really know..
Yep! Everyone had a roll, it's why they're all in unison.💯
will not be disappointed to see it despite the long duration of this video ..

very cool to watch
