@@InnaSoloTV Also...light sabers are not unlike samurai swords. As a young film student, George Lucas was influenced by foreign films, among them those of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress" is often cited as being a huge influence on 'Star Wars'. It's a fun adventure story, has a princess on the run, an old master warrior and is told through the eyes of two bumbling, bickering "unimportant" characters.
The opening shots of 'The Hidden Fortress' are very similar to the opening shots of 'Star Wars' - we see two men walking down the road away from the camera; they are overtaken by a soldier running away from something (but we don't see what he is running from); then we see he was being chased by a group of mounted samurai as they ride into the frame. In 'Star Wars' we see a space ship trying to run from something but we don't see what, until we see the LARGE empire battle ship chasing them as it flies into the frame.

(Something I just thought of...in the 1980's there was a "Shogun" TV mini-series that starred legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune as Lord Toranaga...and Mifune was one of the stars of 'The Hidden Fortress'.)
Remember when you asked if the pilot wasn't telling the truth about the Macau's portuguese base?
When Toronaga denied the ship departure, he told about the portuguese base nearby. That was him trying to be sure if that information is real... or not.
Later, when they tried to kill the pilot, it was the moment that the information was revealed as be true. Now Toronaga knows that the portuguese base is near, the world's division is true, and that the portuguese are seeking to gain the power over Japan realm.
That sole move granted the authenticity of what the pilot told before.
The big question is... What Toronaga will do, as he know all this information?
