I searched the whole internet for hours for a vid like this only to find a 6 min video that solved all my problems
Thank you Mr. J! You just saved my life and made this concept so much more easier than how I was being taught! I will use this method forever!
same this is ike less steps too
@@sylviademarais if you using a calculator, you don't have to move the % over, when you do the division.
you solved my problem. I used to have advanced physics, calculus, trig, etc education but being 61 have forgotten so much. I needed to do a calculation for sausage. For example. I have 1.3 kg of lean meat. I need to have a ratio of 70 percent meat to 30 percent meat. I need to know how much fat to add. This is for making sausage. This will help me do it myself instead of asking google. My brain is working again. So Lean Meat × 100 ÷ 70 = Total product Weight. Total Product weight - Lean meat = fat required.
thank you Mr. J! You’re helping all of my problems right now thank you.

Bruh
Thank u so much 😭😭😭😭
Ooh i got it bro..I was also looking for the discount price that couldnt find in the solution because the topic was only about getting the original price..
I know now how the price get..
If the original price was $249.80 - $112.41 (sale price)= $137.39 is the discounted price of 55%😅😅😅😅
Thanks Mr.JJ 😊 without you my test would have been bad 😢 but anyway thx I got an 98 out of 100 😊😊😊
could you do a video on PROFITS AND DISCOUNTS in one video plss
59.50 ÷70% = 85.00

Can i ask a question?
What if no discount
Great content though
New sub
How to divide decimals?
Akil saved 50$ at the end of each week to buy the pair of roller skates as shown below
Roller skates=$500
A)how many weeks did it take him to get 500?
B) He paid in cash and receive a discount.After discount, he paid $400. What is the percentage he received?
Wow
Thanks soo much u saved my sorry but 😂
Hi, just confused of how it be the original price was $249.80..so if the original price is $249.80 the 50% was $124.90 and the 55% of that price suppose to be is $137.39?? How come that the discount price of 55% is 112.41???
Enlighten me pls..thank you..
am i just stupid for not understanding AT ALL
I didn't understand that either
Oh my god u r my angels
What if it's the original number that you have and not the new value
Goood
Wait.. is 7 hours early? 😅
I think number 1 is 8.5 because
Divide 59.50÷70=8.5
I thought i was wrong but i even checked the calculator😅
What about when its with tax instead of discount?
❤❤❤
Mr. J vs Sal from khan academy
Came here for the long division of this problem and was disappointed
Hello
Had the whole 16years suffering from this?I'm so stupid
🙏♥️❤️🙏
THe GOaT
100-30%. I got 99.7 so now I’m confused.

All your videos are super unhelpful, thanks.
Comment
x=sale-price
d=discount IN DECIMAL for example 55% would be 0.55
x/(1-d)
For example from the video
x=59.50
d=0.30
x/(1-d) = 85
Mate just keep it simple
