ABOUT ME:
I'm Monica, an Internal Medicine attending at University of California, Los Angeles. I'm here to provide high-yield videos for medical students and residents. My favorite topics include how to succeed on clinical rotations, clinical skills, and some good old pathophysiology! I'm also obsessed with my cats and fitness, but I think there are enough cat and fitness videos out there...
Hi Monica. Your videos are amazing, very helpful for becoming more efficient in the hospital. Keep it going!
Just want to let you know that your videos are really awesome. I'm not a medical student, but as a new nurse, I read lots of progress notes from dr. Your videos are so helpful in helping me do my job better. Thank you so so much!
Wow!! Sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for the kind comment! Made my day! I'm so happy to have a nurse here! :)
Thank you so much for creating such a great video. This is exactly what I was looking for
That was brilliant. Thank you so much!
As a terrified new intern, I appreciate your help.
Edit: Your channel is a treasure!
Omg thank you!!! 🥹
High yield stuff right here 👏🏼
Hey Monica, could you give an example of an admission note/H and P for students to get an idea of how it's written? Like a document?Thank you!
your videos are SOOOO incredibly useful!!! I wish I saw them earlier lol
Omg thank you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great video. How many hours do physicians spend with paper work per day? Do you do this notes in the end of your day or while talk to pacients? Is faster to dictate? Do you spend more time with pacients or doing paperwork? Thanks
Nice tips thanks lot
Thanks for watching! 🤗
hi Nice trics
Suggestion for future videos-- deep dive into your favorite dot phrases? Thank you
Great idea!! I’ll get to work 👍🏻
Can you do an outpatient video?
Yes! Great idea :)
From my experience, you have missed something that Doctors learn. Leave a good space at the bottom of the note, so if you mess up, you can retrospectively add further information that covers up your mistake. In the UK, lying and covering up is positively tolerated and has become an acceptable practice. Probably the same with all Doctors, happy for others to update on this subject.
4:17 urosepsis is no longer used LOL. nice review tho.
Thanks so much! If you could share a reference, that would be awesome! Would love to learn the update. 😊
@@MonicaJeong sorry i should have clarified. urosepsis which was present in icd 9 is no longer included in icd 10. your coders will nag you to clarify it.
@@sanbetski oh interesting, I had no idea. Good to know! Those coding queries 🙄
