Summary:
1. Keep a sheet with you:
With patients name, bed no, past med hx, family hx, labs etc to help you in rounds
2. Follow SOAP pattern:
Patient profile
Subjective- presenting complaints, symptoms, what happened overnight
Objective- vitals, labs, chest xray
Assessment-
Plan- management
3. Ask questions:
Keep a curious and open mind and don't shy away from asking what you want to know
4. Never ever lie:
Instead, just say 'I don't know the answer, I'll look it up later.' Or 'I'm going to double check after rounds.'

Hi! I am an IMG in radiology residency in India. I was thinking of applying for radiology residency after the steps. Is Intern year mandatory for radiology residency? Does the alternate pathway also have this intern year requirement?
