It should affect stuff from a greater distance like he said, qnd being inside it should do a lot of damage, the winds are acting strongly in very different ways in different parts of the aircraft after all, the aircraft is basically warping and tearing apart. I think the pulling effect itself when near the tornado was okay though, it doesnt have to literally yeet the plane. The planes should probably be a lot more vulnerable to impacts too, though the arnament-based damage seemed ok?

Typically you loose a ton of speed when you begin to move upwards in a plane so you only want a slight incline, except the nose wouldn’t deep, instead the plane would just slowly loose height. Battlefields planes have always been a bit slowly, the acceleration is actually more then in reality though, unless your putting your engines to 70 or something, but an actual pilot would keep them at around 15-40 to conserve as much fuel as possible. The afterburners are a bit slow though. They could make it more realistic by having the planes speed more modifiable, having a significantly larger area to play in, make the turns much slower and add passing out.

I gotta say flying looks awful right now. There is no sense of engagement. The defenses deploy to quick, no hit markers, the physics looks meh and there is no real sense of speed when flying. Even with the after burners on at low altitude it still doesn’t feel like you are moving fast. I think it could be great with tweaks but now it’s very generic and unsatisfying. The whole game has a really unpolished feel right now. Whatever updates they made over the last 2 months better be good because this game is rather sterile at the moment with no real atmosphere.
Damn straight. bf3 and Bf4 was so good at creating atmosphere. I remember walking behind my teammate tank collumn in that Armored Kill DLC desert map in bf3 and it was so realistic

Tip, when you lock onto an flying vehicle, they tend to use there countermeasures as soon as you lock on, you don't have to fire to trick them into using it most of the time. I just lock on and wait for them to use flares cause they don't know when you launch, just when your locked on to them.
irl you wouldn't have had to hunt for the tornado when you flew high, it would have extended for many many miles up in the air. I'm surprised they don't have some sort of weather effect up top to show the full extent of the tornado
I don't know if what im seeing is correct but when you dive the jet to shoot at people and other aircraft it looks as if a sonic boom is forming around the jet. Cool little detail.
Fun fact: if you about to maneuver, lower the throttle and it’ll give a mid stall turn then hit the afterburner for gaining speed again after that I played on Xbox and found this trick for dogfighting and it works well (more effective with the SU-57)
Some other streamers have said the mouse input is an emulated controller joystick input and that's why it's so Janky and has some weird Acceleration to it. Hopefully, it will get Fixed before release
I feel if an aircraft comes too close to the tornado and gets sucked in, then it show spin you out of control whether you’re in a Jet or heli and when your power comes back on you can regain control if you know what you’re doing, just so there’s more consequences to flying into a tornado
Not sure if it works on this bf, but it worked on 3 and 4 When you auto lock somone, don't deploy the missiles in the first time, they will probably already use theur flares Then you lock again and fire
A little advice, get a target lock and swap to mini gun, they will panic and pop ecm. This mimics an anti air missile launch and they can't tell the difference. Strafe with gun, then spam your a2a missiles.
you should wait until you see the missile before shooting flares. as soon as you see the enemy fire, shoot ya flares and evade at the same time. idk if thats a good idea irl, but if you waste your flares without confirming the enemy has already wasted their missiles, youll just end up getting hit.
Niccamann community please help. I can't set Yaw left right to mouse on the key binds?! When I do, it will only go in one direction. Anyone else experiencing this or has a fix? Worked in every Battlefield till this one, GG's guys.
The tornado is a great idea i had it once of 20 matches so its rare enough to be not anoying and a nice change of a round but at the same time impressive the visuals look insane in the game even more with such small performance impact compared to BF 5
Game looks good so far, wish they didnt do specialists but its to late to change it so honestly if i had any feedback, maybe smaller maps would feel more like war, not super tiny but it would help give the battle a front i think.
If ace combat had these physics would be phantastic here you feel how heavy the aircraft is and got aoa like qar thunder in ace combat the aircraft moves like a robot

I understand that this is implemented real time in a multiplayer match and all but didn't Crysis 1 already implement tornadoes in its singleplayer campaign in a mission called 'Ascension'? I mean, think about it, that was way back in 2007 when the game was first released.

The planes feels weird I think. I pitch up, and then it somehow wants to pitch back down a bit, and vice versa. And they’re waaaaaay to slow!
