@@anthonyzephnpfennig6369 I know I specifically went into a custom server with a friend and had him use planes so that I could train to shoot down planes with Panzerfausts. I'm super good at it now (about 90% success rate) and I can still play the Stürmsoldat class with anti tank weapons.

@@MLPIceberg Press X to doubt. The only time he died was when he got careless. Otherwise he stayed out of range. Don't get me wrong, the flieger's range is fine. I'm also one of the few that thinks the damage doesn't need to be touched. It punishes people who are too aggressive. Imagine having this at the start of the game when bombers were going 200-0 without breaking a sweat.
@@TheGodzebra the launcher needs a little decrease in damage. I feel like you need to be more accurate too because right now you can shoot willy nilly and hit the plane for alot of damage, but bombers kinda have to be aggressive because they have to get low to the ground to get a good amount of damage, and at that height, they will get insta-killed. I feel that if you have a problem with a bomber... either get a couple shots of the launcher, or have the friendly air kill them. I mean that's what dogfights are for. I dunno dont kill me.
@@fel8x889 Big facts. Pilots have had it too good. No battlefield game before this made killing infantry with planes so easy. Helicopters in previous games were the dominant force but attack jets melted them and stinger/igla spam could easily zone them. There aren't enough hard counters for air so the flieger is pretty much fine in my eyes, but I'd accept a SMALL damage nerf. In my opinion two shots should guarantee a kill though and that's pretty much where it's at.
I would play planes so much more if I didn’t get killed in literally 5 seconds from some dude on the other team who is somehow able to deal literally 30 damage a second.
Totally ruins a game when someone like this guy shows up and dominates the game from the air. I can't believe how powerful the planes are in this game.
@@Anthony-df4bs They just need to get balance the strafing meta in BF5 against the high explosive rounds. When you strafe with anything else you actually have to aim/find targets. If they balance high explosive rounds they need to get rid of the fliegerfaust. They just need to balance it properly. The AA had a good buff. I can take out enemy planes pretty easy. Just remember to lead your targets. Also the quick repair needs a longer reload. If your engaging in a dogfight over enemy reload point then it's just a complete waist of time unless you were fighting them before they reached it. That being said they're needs to be an AI turret over the plane spawn because some people just strafe you off the runway. To keep it balanced the AI turret won't be that good and only engages if the plane towards the back end of the runway. DICE needs to do some real balancing and not just add a stupid infantry easy mode weapon if the enemy plane strafes for a bomb run.
Pierre LeDouche and the fact that a lot of their tech was superb at the time. Night vision, first true assault rifle, first jet, their tank technology with armor/guns and first to implement a steering wheel into tanks. Panzerfaust was the first cheap fire and forget anti-tank weapon which lead to the RPG. A lot of fun things to look at. Like you said though every country’s got somethin, aka atomic bomb
Pierre Pierre LeDouche when talking tank technology you’re assuming that I’m saying that the Tiger 1/2 is the tank I’m talking about, which it is not. I 100% agree with you when talking about agility and speed of a tank, which is why the later versions of the panther were the most superior of the tanks in terms of technology. I’m not talking numbers, I’m talking technology. Gun, top speed, reliability and armor. I understand the early versions of it had troubles, but you can say the exact thing about the early versions of the T-34, arguably the most influential tank of the war. And technologically speaking the Tiger 1/2 were superior to the Sherman in every category other than speed. And if you’re telling me with even distribution of resources and materials you would take whatever Sherman’s you could produce compared to whatever king tigers or tiger 1s you could produce I would have to disagree with you on that. I understand that it hurt their cause because of the fact they were manufacturing tanks that just couldn’t keep up with the amount of Sherman’s being pumped into the western front but that does not mean in any way that the Sherman was more advanced, because quite frankly it just wasn’t. The panzer 4 was superior to the Sherman as well. If you want to talk numbers I get that, but theoretically if both factions were to make the both tanks, the United States would have em outnumbered regardless, so I don’t necessarily count that when talking technology. As for the jet, yes the first jet ever flown was flown by Erich Warsitz in 1939, called the Heinkel HE 178, the jet was made by a German, for Germany. If you want to get technical, the RPG was born off of both, because of the ability to reload, but the reason i believe it shares more with the panzerfaust is the fact that it’s a recoilless rifle that shoots essentially a large grenade. Which is exactly what the panzerfaust was. But yeah they invented night vision, the tiger was the first tank to have a steering wheel and all that good stuff. V1 rocket, stg44, flak 88 being the most effective of the anti air weapons, just a bunch of stuff
Pierre LeDouche And one last thing, while this is 100% not an exact statistic and I recognizance that they will never get it correct completely, the Tiger is said to have around a 11.52 kill loss ratio throughout the war. When considering breakdowns, the number drops to 5.25. Regardless, still a legendary tank. Whether you consider it big and dumb and obsolete, that’s your opinion. But if theoretically I am given the same amount of resources to build one or the other, I will take the tiger, hands down over the typical Sherman.
Well it was a thing but was not commonly used in bomb form till Its first use by American forces in early 1944 . Though the flamethrowers from infantry to tanks had been spitting a mixture that could be considered napalm (IMO) for years. Only difference was a lack of a really good gelling agent to make it sticky, which is what set the US Napalm apart from previous iterations of flamethrower fuel seen in Europe WW1 and 2. White phosphorus bombs were however widely used throughout ww2 by all the major players Axis and Allies. While they produced a similar effect to napalm, it is not the same thing. If we really want to be accurate to history the Japanese should be using White phosphorus bombs or "incendiary bombs" which they are, so that's right. But the US forces should specifically use Napalm bombs. As by the time we took Iwo Jima in march 1945 Napalm bombs had been in use for about the last year.

@@TK7-VB The fact of the matter is it does affect fighters more but for good reason. It was because fighters were trying to be fighter/bombers instead of their balance purpose which is to keep bombers in check. Most fighter pilots I see are going for the fighter/bomber role and focusing more on ground targets than air targets so i really have no sympathy. If fighters did their role from the start and didn't chase the kills then this situation wouldn't have happened. But because it's happened this way, infantry are fed up with being constantly bombed by aircraft while their counters aren't doing their role. Now dice has given infantry an OP anti-air weapon so of course every infantry player is going to be carrying it because they don't want to be bombed, respawn,, run 40 metres, bombed, respawn, run 30 metres, bombed. So hopefully you can see where the rage has come from and why so many infantry are putting it in their loadouts and focusing on planes when they start getting close. TL;DR : Fighters aren't doing their role allowing bombers to reign supreme and infantry got pissed.

Diogenes Wannabe apart from they’re not. At release they were monstrous then they got bitch slapped by nerfs and have still barely recovered. People complain about things left and right even though it’s a god damn plane. This isn’t that ridiculous shotgun from long ago any one could spam in one match. Every one has equal opportunity to do well in a plane that’s why there’s only like 3 per team. Same with a Panzer 4 or Valentine which are my personal favourites where if used correctly you can demolish the enemy team who don’t counter you. A fliegerfaust shouldn’t be an assault weapon it should be a support weapon as if assault isn’t a powerhouse already and is spammed out by every one from the start. And the fact that it can just be fired willy nilly and still cripple a plane is stupid for something so useless irl. I admit planes especially in Pacific are stupid with these HE cannons and napalm bombs are crazy effective and need a nerf but every other aircraft in the game is fine and this anti air cancer where some pleb carrying 3 bundles of dynamite a heavy anti tank Grenade and more can turn into a SAM turret isn’t fun for any one.
Incendiary bombs were a thing during WW2 but it was mainly used by the British and the US. The US was able to synthesize an early version of what would become Napalm that was used in the Vietnam War

To be totally honest, and being completely unbiased to one of the sides. As a Experienced pilot in BF 1 and V. The Fliegerfaust is what other pilots call “OP”, the damage is amazingly high, and the reload is extremely quick, since planes have bombs without reticles, (Which makes sense. But disturbs a lot of pilots.) They have to dive, and get Target acquisition, then drop the bombs at a precise altitude where it is a hit, and then pull up, the Fliegerfaust can even one shot planes doing exactly this. And it takes the fun away for the pilots. And as infantry I can understand that being killed by a pilot constantly is annoying. But taking down planes really shouldn’t work as one man, but instead cooperate. I can see that a lot of infantry players don’t realize how absurdly strong the AA is, literally. On Iwo Jima if the players on the American Team man the AA at the 2nd and 3rd sector, no Japanese plane can survive, because they have to fly through that AA, and reach their airfield to rearm. The AA at these sectors can even destroy planes that just took off. While the American planes always spawn on a carrier, that you can say is always safe. Because of the Fliegerfaust between the pilot, and the AA of the two ships that are also there. And any argument of: “Well they piss us off so we piss them off.” With that altitude you’re really not making a point, and it isn’t fun for everyone. Medics can get pissed off when they deploy a smoke but somehow a sniper can see through it and headshot you, tankers can get pissed at concentrated Assault and tank fire thus resulting in their deaths, but it happens. If this game was 100% realistic, everything that isn’t an infantry soldier, will dumpster you, and you will have to deal with that, and the only counter is cooperative play. My opinion on the matter is that the Assault has way to much power, the Fliegerfaust is a nice addition. But when it can do 55 damage against tanks, which me and my squad have experienced. It is definitely overpowered. The Fliegerfaust can also reduce plane health to just 6 or 10. But both teams get 3 planes to counter each other, but just because you cannot control your emotions, and you can’t handle dying to somebody that is actually good, or using a cheese load out, or is just skilled or experienced. Doesn’t mean you should actively search that person and end his fun, tankers have fun killing infantry, pilots have fun killing infantry, infantry have fun killing infantry. And there are a few support and medic players and even the extremely rare breed of scouts. That are having fun supporting their team. Via resupplies, heals and revives and spotting plus spawn beacons. So please people, grow up, and learn to have fun together. Do not roast players on how they play, they play for fun. And so do you. But don’t let emotions get the better of you over a game. And ruin somebody else’s fun time. We all play this game when we come back from a hard day of work, school, college, or just because we feel like we want to. Or play with some friends from real life, or even friends from online, to all have fun. So please coming from me, let’s all just have fun together. And not roast the pilots, or the tankers, (or the camping scout. We know who you are!) or the infantry. Everything can counter everything. But the Fliegerfaust needs a nerf, to damage and reload time. And for Planes just add some AI controlled AI near spawns, (airports and air craft carriers.) That don’t deal a lot of damage, like around 5 to 12 damage. To prevent some extremely skilled players by controlling the skies. These can be destroyed, and will respawn in 2 or 3 minutes. But in the end just learn to have fun and suck up what happens. That’s just my opinion on it.
If I get killed more then once by the same plane I will get my fliegerfaust out and focus the enemy plane. I feel for the poor guys getting farmed, can’t blame em for then switching to fliegerfausts and trying to stop the slaughter.

Look for green moving lines. That's what I do on these maps. Also if you see a green line on the black beach it's probably a person. I don't think the game renders dead bodies from that distance as well.

1:12 I think they used white phosphorus in the WW2. Those bombs were a nightmare for the bombed, because sometimes it took hours or days for them to explode. So many gone back into their homes thinking that it's just a dud to be burned later.

I have also found (at the moment) that Zero and Corsair pilots pretty much leave each other alone if you stick to your side of the map. Once you cross over it's game on. You can't dog fight over the battle field because of the fliegerfaust and you're at a distinct disadvantage dog fighting on the enemies side of the map. Whoever holds the stationary AA on that map has the advantage.
I like when it's more of a rock-paper-scissors where each is powerful - fun, each having a certain aspect that works well (fire rate, damage, clip size...). Instead of all getting balanced to a grey boring mass.
Good balance is better. Battlefield used to be known for it's balance. In my opinion they need to get rid of the fliegerfaust but also nerf the high explosives. You can watch a dude like 10 meters away get lit up by high explosive rounds yet somehow take damage and die yourself. That's too easy. Rock-Paper-Scissors takes away all skill. When DICE introduced that in BF1 you usually died because you were playing as a "rock" class vs a "paper" class. Despite the person playing as "paper" being complete ass. Like for example getting shot in the leg by a sniper who was in their "sweet spot" and dying immediately. But the way DICE is balancing shit these days is just a joke. It's like they don't even look at the true problem when they put out solutions. Oh let's just give this class a OP weapon that annihilates planes within it's range and requires little to no skill to use.
@@benjotsumal6146 Well I like low time-to-kill as well (turn to HC often) - which they often ruin. Guess my idea of rock-paper-scissors is more towards vehicles (e.g. AA vs tank vs plane) and dealing with them. Planes were pretty much soft targets as well - "balance" in the video seems nice to me(!), planes need to be mindful of range if they want to survive. Mindful that this YTer likes to specialize in planes and gets rewarded with experience for putting in the time. I often fail to see "OP" things - always seen a weakness to exploit be there in the games for those.
PS4 lobbies are not huge on pilotes dogfighting unprovoked unless it’s a bomber, I’m upgrading to a pc setup so I can play rtx and I’ll be a pc veteran pilot
Not a historian (just yet) but wanted to answer the napalm question (TLTR at bottom). Since i can't see anyone commenting about the napalm question, here's my answer: Napalm was developed in 1942 by the US, think it was just some plastic mixed with gasoline and the plastic would stick to anything basicly. The idea for "sticky fire" has been around a long time though, in medieval times they would set fire to tar and pour it unto infantry who tried to attack forts or castles. And we have of course the greek fire that was described as "flaming glue". TLTR: Yes, a form of napalm was used in WW2 as far as i could find out at a so short notice.
Aswell as a lot of white phosphorus. I don't know why it is not represented much in ww2 movies or history books and documentaries but when I learned about the use of white phosphorus during ww2 I started to notice just by seing pictures and ww2 videos that white phosphorus was used a lot.
That is so nice, but so difficult. After tweaking my classes, I activated my first plane-assignment. Still haven't achieved anything. I have difficulties seeing enemy players. (do I need glasses? 🧐) Probably something every new pilot struggles with. If you know the maps in and out, you probably know where the enemies are, or how they advance, but I'm miles away from that. But, I start to find my own way on the Battlefield, (with the spawn beacon) have found some nice spots, and now, when I fly over it, I recognize the spots. That's a start, but have a long way to go.
My uncle had an incendiary bomb they found in their garden from the blitz, but it used white phosphorous, not an, explosive fireball, just a hot slow steady burn designed to catch fire to roofing.
I know I’m late but it makes sense. The fliegerfaust is basically portable anti air. AA will have blind spots but with the fliegerfaust AA is everywhere. They should nerf the damage though.
I feel this so much. How tf do you see people from so far away? I love being in planes and dive bombing but I only see people when I’m already too close to the ground
Great vid. Great flying :-) A historic note on the incendiary thing (napalm was developed 1942). They were widely used in ww2. For example at the bombing of Dresden in February 1945 and during the bombing of Tokyo - both cities were heavily affected by these firebombs.

In WW2 there were lots of things that could go into incendiary bombs. Yes, napalm was used but there was also a isobutyl methacrylate polymer filling that could go in. You'd also get ones with petroleum jelly inside as a form of incendiary fuel.

Napalm was used to burn the jungles in Vietnam. Incendiaries aren't as powerful as napalm, but incendiaries are more like a bomb. Where as napalm is more like using a flame thrower in the sense that it doesn't explode (that I can remember) it's primary objective was to just absolutely destroy forests. Agent Orange was also used, it was sprayed onto the jungles that killed all plants that it came into contact with.
@@johsmith2481 You put AT mines on the deck of the carriers with the Zero, so the Americans can't take off, and they can't destroy the mines because leaving the plane is out of bounds. Dice really need to look at it, and I'm hoping a TH-camr highlighting it will make them do so.
I run mine with the 4x lmg’s, engine and maneuverability upgrades, NO80 bomb, AT mine drop, finned barrels. I act as a tank hunter and fighter support. It’s fun watching a Corsair struggle to keep up, only to watch his tanks get blown up, and then get turned around on and yeeted from the sky. I don’t typically get a ton of kills, but I score high from all the vehicle kills
I like the balancing between ground and air. You gotte be careful to survive and therefore planes feel powerful and fragile at the same time, leaving the infantry a fighting chance. If the enemy pilot is clever enough to stay out of range you need teamwork to beat them. Perfect balance in my book.

This is how I used to play in BFV (battlefield vietnam, the og bfv), the WWII dlc for bfv, and BF2. It's been like this since forever, except in bfv you really needed direct hits for gunfire whereas in bf2 there was some splash.
When using the Fliegelfaust you should always team up. Two people aiming at the same plane will always be a guaranteed kill. We've definitely pissed off a lot of pilots that way ;-)

I feel like you need to be more accurate too because right now you can shoot willy nilly and hit the plane for alot of damage, but bombers kinda have to be aggressive because they have to get low to the ground to get a good amount of damage, and at that height, they will get insta-killed. I feel that if you have a problem with a bomber... either get a couple shots of the launcher, or have the friendly air kill them. I mean that's what dogfights are for. I dunno dont kill me.

@@fel8x889 Big facts. Pilots have had it too good. No battlefield game before this made killing infantry with planes so easy. Helicopters in previous games were the dominant force but attack jets melted them and stinger/igla spam could easily zone them. There aren't enough hard counters for air so the flieger is pretty much fine in my eyes, but I'd accept a SMALL damage nerf. In my opinion two shots should guarantee a kill though and that's pretty much where it's at.
I would play planes so much more if I didn’t get killed in literally 5 seconds from some dude on the other team who is somehow able to deal literally 30 damage a second.

@@Anthony-df4bs They just need to get balance the strafing meta in BF5 against the high explosive rounds. When you strafe with anything else you actually have to aim/find targets. If they balance high explosive rounds they need to get rid of the fliegerfaust. They just need to balance it properly. The AA had a good buff. I can take out enemy planes pretty easy. Just remember to lead your targets. Also the quick repair needs a longer reload. If your engaging in a dogfight over enemy reload point then it's just a complete waist of time unless you were fighting them before they reached it. That being said they're needs to be an AI turret over the plane spawn because some people just strafe you off the runway. To keep it balanced the AI turret won't be that good and only engages if the plane towards the back end of the runway. DICE needs to do some real balancing and not just add a stupid infantry easy mode weapon if the enemy plane strafes for a bomb run.

Night vision, first true assault rifle, first jet, their tank technology with armor/guns and first to implement a steering wheel into tanks. Panzerfaust was the first cheap fire and forget anti-tank weapon which lead to the RPG. A lot of fun things to look at. Like you said though every country’s got somethin, aka atomic bomb

I 100% agree with you when talking about agility and speed of a tank, which is why the later versions of the panther were the most superior of the tanks in terms of technology. I’m not talking numbers, I’m talking technology. Gun, top speed, reliability and armor. I understand the early versions of it had troubles, but you can say the exact thing about the early versions of the T-34, arguably the most influential tank of the war. And technologically speaking the Tiger 1/2 were superior to the Sherman in every category other than speed. And if you’re telling me with even distribution of resources and materials you would take whatever Sherman’s you could produce compared to whatever king tigers or tiger 1s you could produce I would have to disagree with you on that. I understand that it hurt their cause because of the fact they were manufacturing tanks that just couldn’t keep up with the amount of Sherman’s being pumped into the western front but that does not mean in any way that the Sherman was more advanced, because quite frankly it just wasn’t. The panzer 4 was superior to the Sherman as well. If you want to talk numbers I get that, but theoretically if both factions were to make the both tanks, the United States would have em outnumbered regardless, so I don’t necessarily count that when talking technology.
As for the jet, yes the first jet ever flown was flown by Erich Warsitz in 1939, called the Heinkel HE 178, the jet was made by a German, for Germany.
If you want to get technical, the RPG was born off of both, because of the ability to reload, but the reason i believe it shares more with the panzerfaust is the fact that it’s a recoilless rifle that shoots essentially a large grenade. Which is exactly what the panzerfaust was.
But yeah they invented night vision, the tiger was the first tank to have a steering wheel and all that good stuff. V1 rocket, stg44, flak 88 being the most effective of the anti air weapons, just a bunch of stuff

When considering breakdowns, the number drops to 5.25. Regardless, still a legendary tank. Whether you consider it big and dumb and obsolete, that’s your opinion. But if theoretically I am given the same amount of resources to build one or the other, I will take the tiger, hands down over the typical Sherman.

star wars fan 77 well, they had an early version of it. Wasn’t quite napalm yet.
Well it was a thing but was not commonly used in bomb form till Its first use by American forces in early 1944 . Though the flamethrowers from infantry to tanks had been spitting a mixture that could be considered napalm (IMO) for years. Only difference was a lack of a really good gelling agent to make it sticky, which is what set the US Napalm apart from previous iterations of flamethrower fuel seen in Europe WW1 and 2.
White phosphorus bombs were however widely used throughout ww2 by all the major players Axis and Allies. While they produced a similar effect to napalm, it is not the same thing.
If we really want to be accurate to history the Japanese should be using White phosphorus bombs or "incendiary bombs" which they are, so that's right. But the US forces should specifically use Napalm bombs. As by the time we took Iwo Jima in march 1945 Napalm bombs had been in use for about the last year.

It was because fighters were trying to be fighter/bombers instead of their balance purpose which is to keep bombers in check.
Most fighter pilots I see are going for the fighter/bomber role and focusing more on ground targets than air targets so i really have no sympathy.
If fighters did their role from the start and didn't chase the kills then this situation wouldn't have happened.
But because it's happened this way, infantry are fed up with being constantly bombed by aircraft while their counters aren't doing their role.
Now dice has given infantry an OP anti-air weapon so of course every infantry player is going to be carrying it because they don't want to be bombed, respawn,, run 40 metres, bombed, respawn, run 30 metres, bombed.
So hopefully you can see where the rage has come from and why so many infantry are putting it in their loadouts and focusing on planes when they start getting close.
TL;DR : Fighters aren't doing their role allowing bombers to reign supreme and infantry got pissed.

Diogenes Wannabe apart from they’re not. At release they were monstrous then they got bitch slapped by nerfs and have still barely recovered. People complain about things left and right even though it’s a god damn plane. This isn’t that ridiculous shotgun from long ago any one could spam in one match. Every one has equal opportunity to do well in a plane that’s why there’s only like 3 per team. Same with a Panzer 4 or Valentine which are my personal favourites where if used correctly you can demolish the enemy team who don’t counter you. A fliegerfaust shouldn’t be an assault weapon it should be a support weapon as if assault isn’t a powerhouse already and is spammed out by every one from the start. And the fact that it can just be fired willy nilly and still cripple a plane is stupid for something so useless irl. I admit planes especially in Pacific are stupid with these HE cannons and napalm bombs are crazy effective and need a nerf but every other aircraft in the game is fine and this anti air cancer where some pleb carrying 3 bundles of dynamite a heavy anti tank Grenade and more can turn into a SAM turret isn’t fun for any one.

Incendiary bombs were a thing during WW2 but it was mainly used by the British and the US. The US was able to synthesize an early version of what would become Napalm that was used in the Vietnam War

To be totally honest, and being completely unbiased to one of the sides. As a Experienced pilot in BF 1 and V. The Fliegerfaust is what other pilots call “OP”, the damage is amazingly high, and the reload is extremely quick, since planes have bombs without reticles, (Which makes sense. But disturbs a lot of pilots.) They have to dive, and get Target acquisition, then drop the bombs at a precise altitude where it is a hit, and then pull up, the Fliegerfaust can even one shot planes doing exactly this. And it takes the fun away for the pilots. And as infantry I can understand that being killed by a pilot constantly is annoying. But taking down planes really shouldn’t work as one man, but instead cooperate. I can see that a lot of infantry players don’t realize how absurdly strong the AA is, literally. On Iwo Jima if the players on the American Team man the AA at the 2nd and 3rd sector, no Japanese plane can survive, because they have to fly through that AA, and reach their airfield to rearm. The AA at these sectors can even destroy planes that just took off. While the American planes always spawn on a carrier, that you can say is always safe. Because of the Fliegerfaust between the pilot, and the AA of the two ships that are also there.
And any argument of: “Well they piss us off so we piss them off.” With that altitude you’re really not making a point, and it isn’t fun for everyone. Medics can get pissed off when they deploy a smoke but somehow a sniper can see through it and headshot you, tankers can get pissed at concentrated Assault and tank fire thus resulting in their deaths, but it happens. If this game was 100% realistic, everything that isn’t an infantry soldier, will dumpster you, and you will have to deal with that, and the only counter is cooperative play. My opinion on the matter is that the Assault has way to much power, the Fliegerfaust is a nice addition. But when it can do 55 damage against tanks, which me and my squad have experienced. It is definitely overpowered. The Fliegerfaust can also reduce plane health to just 6 or 10. But both teams get 3 planes to counter each other, but just because you cannot control your emotions, and you can’t handle dying to somebody that is actually good, or using a cheese load out, or is just skilled or experienced. Doesn’t mean you should actively search that person and end his fun, tankers have fun killing infantry, pilots have fun killing infantry, infantry have fun killing infantry. And there are a few support and medic players and even the extremely rare breed of scouts. That are having fun supporting their team. Via resupplies, heals and revives and spotting plus spawn beacons. So please people, grow up, and learn to have fun together. Do not roast players on how they play, they play for fun. And so do you. But don’t let emotions get the better of you over a game. And ruin somebody else’s fun time. We all play this game when we come back from a hard day of work, school, college, or just because we feel like we want to. Or play with some friends from real life, or even friends from online, to all have fun. So please coming from me, let’s all just have fun together. And not roast the pilots, or the tankers, (or the camping scout. We know who you are!) or the infantry. Everything can counter everything. But the Fliegerfaust needs a nerf, to damage and reload time. And for Planes just add some AI controlled AI near spawns, (airports and air craft carriers.) That don’t deal a lot of damage, like around 5 to 12 damage. To prevent some extremely skilled players by controlling the skies. These can be destroyed, and will respawn in 2 or 3 minutes. But in the end just learn to have fun and suck up what happens. That’s just my opinion on it.
If I get killed more then once by the same plane I will get my fliegerfaust out and focus the enemy plane. I feel for the poor guys getting farmed, can’t blame em for then switching to fliegerfausts and trying to stop the slaughter.

1:12 I think they used white phosphorus in the WW2. Those bombs were a nightmare for the bombed, because sometimes it took hours or days for them to explode. So many gone back into their homes thinking that it's just a dud to be burned later.

I have also found (at the moment) that Zero and Corsair pilots pretty much leave each other alone if you stick to your side of the map. Once you cross over it's game on. You can't dog fight over the battle field because of the fliegerfaust and you're at a distinct disadvantage dog fighting on the enemies side of the map. Whoever holds the stationary AA on that map has the advantage.

I like when it's more of a rock-paper-scissors where each is powerful - fun, each having a certain aspect that works well (fire rate, damage, clip size...). Instead of all getting balanced to a grey boring mass.
Good balance is better. Battlefield used to be known for it's balance. In my opinion they need to get rid of the fliegerfaust but also nerf the high explosives. You can watch a dude like 10 meters away get lit up by high explosive rounds yet somehow take damage and die yourself. That's too easy. Rock-Paper-Scissors takes away all skill. When DICE introduced that in BF1 you usually died because you were playing as a "rock" class vs a "paper" class. Despite the person playing as "paper" being complete ass. Like for example getting shot in the leg by a sniper who was in their "sweet spot" and dying immediately.
But the way DICE is balancing shit these days is just a joke. It's like they don't even look at the true problem when they put out solutions. Oh let's just give this class a OP weapon that annihilates planes within it's range and requires little to no skill to use.

Guess my idea of rock-paper-scissors is more towards vehicles (e.g. AA vs tank vs plane) and dealing with them. Planes were pretty much soft targets as well - "balance" in the video seems nice to me(!), planes need to be mindful of range if they want to survive. Mindful that this YTer likes to specialize in planes and gets rewarded with experience for putting in the time.
I often fail to see "OP" things - always seen a weakness to exploit be there in the games for those.

Not a historian (just yet) but wanted to answer the napalm question (TLTR at bottom).
Since i can't see anyone commenting about the napalm question, here's my answer: Napalm was developed in 1942 by the US, think it was just some plastic mixed with gasoline and the plastic would stick to anything basicly. The idea for "sticky fire" has been around a long time though, in medieval times they would set fire to tar and pour it unto infantry who tried to attack forts or castles. And we have of course the greek fire that was described as "flaming glue".
TLTR: Yes, a form of napalm was used in WW2 as far as i could find out at a so short notice.

If you know the maps in and out, you probably know where the enemies are, or how they advance, but I'm miles away from that.
But, I start to find my own way on the Battlefield, (with the spawn beacon) have found some nice spots, and now, when I fly over it, I recognize the spots.
That's a start, but have a long way to go.
It's like with every game bro you just gotta keep at it and before you know it you'll just be instinctively dropping fire on the enemies heads. 🔥✌

I know I’m late but it makes sense. The fliegerfaust is basically portable anti air. AA will have blind spots but with the fliegerfaust AA is everywhere. They should nerf the damage though.

A historic note on the incendiary thing (napalm was developed 1942). They were widely used in ww2. For example at the bombing of Dresden in February 1945 and during the bombing of Tokyo - both cities were heavily affected by these firebombs.

In WW2 there were lots of things that could go into incendiary bombs. Yes, napalm was used but there was also a isobutyl methacrylate polymer filling that could go in. You'd also get ones with petroleum jelly inside as a form of incendiary fuel.
When the enemy team is full of Fliegerfaust and people sitting on multiple AA. It's just nightmare.
Thats the cue for tanks to push in but sadly most of them camp near resupply station with their rockets.
i like it, it’s annoying af being killed by planes when youre infantry.
It makes playing as tanks extremely easy though because all the assault players are staring at the sky without a ranged anti-tank weapon.

@@sidmas-zj5eu That's how it should be though, you can't be at the top of the leaderboard as infantry if you are bad at it. Should be the same for vehicles.
Napalm was used to burn the jungles in Vietnam. Incendiaries aren't as powerful as napalm, but incendiaries are more like a bomb. Where as napalm is more like using a flame thrower in the sense that it doesn't explode (that I can remember) it's primary objective was to just absolutely destroy forests. Agent Orange was also used, it was sprayed onto the jungles that killed all plants that it came into contact with.
This might be an counter to the many american tanks in the game
when i was upgrading the air to ground zero when i got the 20 mils not explosive i used my mg to strafe instead of the cannons

@@johsmith2481 You put AT mines on the deck of the carriers with the Zero, so the Americans can't take off, and they can't destroy the mines because leaving the plane is out of bounds. Dice really need to look at it, and I'm hoping a TH-camr highlighting it will make them do so.

I run mine with the 4x lmg’s, engine and maneuverability upgrades, NO80 bomb, AT mine drop, finned barrels. I act as a tank hunter and fighter support. It’s fun watching a Corsair struggle to keep up, only to watch his tanks get blown up, and then get turned around on and yeeted from the sky. I don’t typically get a ton of kills, but I score high from all the vehicle kills

I like the balancing between ground and air. You gotte be careful to survive and therefore planes feel powerful and fragile at the same time, leaving the infantry a fighting chance. If the enemy pilot is clever enough to stay out of range you need teamwork to beat them. Perfect balance in my book.

Yes they did use Napalm during WW2, it was used in flamethrowers as the catalyst for example, but was also used in bombs and various other things

This is how I used to play in BFV (battlefield vietnam, the og bfv), the WWII dlc for bfv, and BF2. It's been like this since forever, except in bfv you really needed direct hits for gunfire whereas in bf2 there was some splash.

When using the Fliegelfaust you should always team up. Two people aiming at the same plane will always be a guaranteed kill. We've definitely pissed off a lot of pilots that way ;-)
