I guess i have a very different definition of "left overs", when you think of left overs, you think of food that was already cooked from the previous day.
Takara Hayashi left over I suppose also would be food meant for a meal that’s left over, cooked or not
Or maybe bits and pieces of ingredients left over from a previous meal
This was leftovers they had from the previous challenge, the mystery box. They were told to save up everything that they didn't use and then only had that for the invention test.
Both count as left-over - bits of food, cooked or otherwise, that have not been used in a dish as yet and in most instances are likely to be thrown away.
Some of this clips on TH-cam really needs part2.
Not some many....
Or the full episode
It’s so frustrating.
Agreed 👍
Their leftovers are my main ingredients😕. Here we don't call it left over, we call it "next day ingredients" 😂😂.
the guy adds a Saudi Arabia of oil in the egg first, and then he says oil needs to be added slowly, and then cries about mayonnaise not coming together
I was sayin the same thing hahaha
lol
Your Mom that Saudi Arabia though!😅
Is gay

I was genuinely confused for 2 minutes because where I come from, "leftovers" are cooked food that haven't been eaten. 😂
I think that by leftovers they meant leftovers from the previous mystery box challenge they had done earlier.
Cold Noodle I wonder if it means when you last had the food; chefs finish with it when it goes out, not after it’s eaten. Perhaps chefs recycle customer leftovers though
You wanna know how to cook leftovers? Go to any Asian household
Girl we get it
ARMY With Love girl I only said it once 😌
You an Army !?!
@@ktchimmy5823 i meant it as in being an Asian myself we *together* get it
I see that i put it the wrong way
And Yes an Army here 😊
😂😂😂
Yes, we don't waste our food
Okay so everyone saying these are not leftovers have to see the whole episode. Before this round they were given a mystery box where they had to choose the ingredients they wanted to cook with. In this invention round they have make use of the ingredients that they did not choose or what was left i.e. the leftovers. It's not about what we have as leftovers in our kitchen. The challenge was to make an awesome dish with ingredients that they would not ideally have as their first pick.
I (British) have always heard "leftovers" used to mean the uneaten portion of fully prepared and served dish. The dictionary seems to agree. I don't know whether this is an Australian, culinary or thing specific to the show but they use it to mean left over raw ingredients.
Dude puts an oil tanker into that blender and complains about consistency. I am no expert chef but at least i know that the amount of oil is too much.
Yup, he should at least blend the eggs a bit first before gradually pour the oil in, not dumping the whole tank of it in one go.
Death Soul 😅😅😅
how can anyone have huge square chunks of meat as leftovers
Why do you think food waste is one of the world's biggest problems?
@@FreakieFan Although this is not the message i wanted to give but yes i do think it is a big problem, because wastage of anything is wastage of resource and also our small earth is not like Jupiter that can take our garbage forever. Also, when a person or an establishment wastes food it directly reflects their lack of respect for environment and the skillful hard work that goes into preparing it, so this is also a morality problem, because our children mostly learn things from us.
My question is the same. Their left over are whole fish or half fish un touch beautifully there lol my house don't have left overs. Plus I thought the left over are gonna be cook food . Not raw.
To understand that you need to watch the entire episode because in the previous round(mystery box) they were given those whole ingredients and asked to keep the leftovers in the refrigerator....and this is the second round where they are asked to cook from the leftovers of the previous round
@@selenophile_asa while your point makes sense, it should also be noted that in everyday life people don't call that leftovers, so in a way this is still misleading. It should be more like "cooking with leftovers when you put excessive amount ingredients in bucket"
There's so much oil in the mayonnaise, the U.S would invade it!
Out of the box, funny(invading a mayo in a literal sense is proposterous) and gets the message across. 3 rabbits with one bullet.
Have wrote the above I wonder if its your idea or youv heard it.
Wow so original.
I want to argue that but given our current president I can’t - pls help 😂
Heaven Lance u are so annoying
if that is leftovers, i have been living on them my whole life.
Brett (mayonnaise guy) Theresea and Charlie (miso ice cream guy) are judged to have the worst dishes go in to the next pressure test
Matt Karmen (not comfortable with savory girl) and Mimi( girl with cake and ice cream) are judged to have the best dishes.
They called it leftovers as this is what would be left after a day of service in a restaurant....
*Asians laughing at the background*
@2:36 Honey.. putting coriander in ice cream is the most mainstream thing in MasterChef. Its as common as Gangnam style.
I love how Masterchef US is like, 'You need to know how to break down a fish.' And here are contestants break down a fish like a boss.
This was my favourite season of MasterChef Australia. All the contestants were so good , nice and humble . Matt, brett aaahhh i loved them all
What a godsend this episode has been for me, I am sick to death of 2lb of Fish 'leftovers' taking up my fridge space, same with the beef and pork joints, at least now I know I can eat them and leave the pot noodle for special occasions.
“Are you guys ready?”
“ʸᵉˢ ᶜʰᵉᶠ”
what the hell mate
I cant count ho many times I've had full belly of pork lying around in the fridge at home as leftovers?? or half a full fish?
what's with that guy making his mayo? "I'll add the oil slowly'' then he pours like half a cup of oil in his yolk, etc and complains on how its not working ffs
That mayonnaise struggle scene is too real for comfort
Mayonnaise needs mustard, that helps to get the right consistency.
@@energizer5611 this comment is gold because its so true
Sanji would be proud
I see you are a man of one piece culture.
Same thing went through my mind 😂
Even Sanji can do better with leftovers...
@@wanfatini6581 duh
This comment is a banger.
LOL how can you consider a whole fish and a decent chunk of meat leftovers. Go watch Masterchef US at least they know how leftover really are
Quốc Vinh Biện before this there was a mystery box challenge and the ingredients that were not used were kept, so the leftovers in this video are the ingredients left from the previous mystery box challenge.
Jacob Erickson i dont think either are scripted but the level of skill in australia is much much greater. it has much more challenges and episodes and it’s amazing
Master chef Australia is the best cooking competition on the planet, master chef usa sucks except for Gordon Ramsay!!!
Sheve Vero ok ur crazy!
@@shevevero5284 but the biggest chef turned out from master chef is from the us
7 minutes of crap only to get to the end and no judging. What a waste of time.
"Cooking with leftovers."
>>> Get whole ingredients. Like yeah I also have an entire fish as a leftover.
I love how this "leftover" looks more than my grocery
also tried to make mayonaise with a hand blender, never came together. Thats why I always make Mayo with a whisk. Works 100%% of the time.
Why is it that judge Matt Preston always reminds me of a villain from Lupin III
Those fishes are hardly called " leftovers".
why didnt he just make mayo normally, like add the oil as you whisk
this season was the best masterchef australia has seen
The left over usually goes to my cat and dog.
The word leftovers for restaurants mean food that has been used in some other recipe and you have some leftovers from them not that home leftovers
Yes they need a part two of a whole episode
#1 Masterchef Canada
#2 Masterchef Australia
#3 Masterchef United States
Thomas masterchef Canada should be second and masterchef Australia first. The challenges in masterchef Australia are way harder and way more creative than the other 2. And all the competitors are generally way more creative.
Is it me or i hear the word "miso" a lot?
Yup correct 🤣
I really wanted Matt to win this season........💕
My favourite Master Chef Australia season☝🏻
This is not "left overs"
We eat leftovers the next day...that is if there are leftovers.
A whole fish and a square chunk of meat as leftover? What a waste. You could easily serve that to 3-5 peoples. There are many peoples that would love to have that as leftover. We are producing more than we need but still can't feed many people in the world. What a problem we have in today's world. Sigh!!!
Sam before this there was a mystery box challenge and the ingredients that were not used were kept, so the leftovers in this video are the ingredients left and kept from the previous mystery box challenge.
you are so that type of person.🙄
I thought the thumbnail was v close to "nidhi's bhaijiya" lmao xD
I was expecting some leftover fried chicken, some overnight chickpeas and rice etc.
Why all the videos of this channel end at the climax..I definitely want to know the fate of that last guy..
Why is there a whole fish in leftover??? 🤔
before this there was a mystery box challenge and the ingredients that were not used were kept, so the leftovers in this video are the ingredients left from the previous mystery box challenge.
Where is the leftover?
I have an idea for masterchef challenge, cooking ourdoor with camper's tools and wild ingredients...that would be challenging 😁
This is not what leftovers look at my place...😂
he should have added the oil bit by bit as he blends the egg, instead he poured it all in
He used waaay to much oil for the mayonnaise. You add it pretty much drop by drop to the egg yolk.
This is leftovers? Damn...that near to market heaven for some....
This invention test was to use their "leftovers" from the previous mystery box challenge.
Those are leftovers ! Wow.
I thought that guy was making mayonnaise to put on his hair
Well obviously thats an exaggeration of leftovers bcz u want to give them something to cook with
Concept of leftovers is .....
Give them leftover cooked food to bring out some different dish
This isn't leftovers you fool this is leftover ingredients
Plz any body tell me which its next episode, this is not complete episode and I couldn't found what they make at the end?
"I don't do savory."
Wtf...you call yourself a chef?
Should of been titled “cooking with leftover ingredients”
The mayo didn't work cause it's too much oil. He needs to add more egg yolks to balance it out at this point. I see other YTubers doing that.
Haha.
All the leftover is uncooked.. They should give cooked leftover and see the creativity
We don't have any left over at our house I ate them as my midnight snacks
That’s not what I thought they meant by leftovers.
I have to do this mayo carefully.
*Puts 1dl of oil right away
Those are not leftovers tho
Me :struggling to make a maggi goreng
Basically Pagpag: Masterchef Style
Do not waste your time guys, there will be no judging in this video
Leftovers are defined as "something, especially food, remaining after the rest has been used or consumed". I guess it means something different when it comes to masterchef
Where can we see the whole episodes?!? I wanted to see the tasting. 😡🤬
Fish is not leftovers, and pork belly miso as leftovers🧐
chucky cheese needs this lmao
Where is rest of the episode
How come when these australian women talk, they always sound like they are asking a question. They raise the last syllable of the sentence lol.
Again, not letting us see the end. Have been telling people to stop watching MasterChef Australia!! You have ruined it by not letting us see the ending of challenges in same show. Fed up
Thats a whole ass fish tf
"Small " amount of oil....
I swear the title says leftovers
This is like korean’s expertises
everything has to be korean huh
Season?!
They get an hour and produce only ordinary dishes, nothing spectacular, it looks they are not out of their shell yet. To explore the world of culinary you had to be more creative and precise on engridients they choose.
Next part?
There are super supportive with everyone (like family ) nothing like Master chef USA

I'd be careful with that mayo. The US might invade it.
Why is so many people cooking barramundi? Be different from everybody
