  • This mind blowing tiny house on wheels has it all! Completely off the grid and sized at just 10m2 (107 f2) including the loft, this ultra compact home is packed full of clever design ideas. Ingenious construction techniques and lightweight, eco-friendly materials make this tiny house perfect for full time living and travel on European roads.
Builder Thomas set out to design and construct a tiny house on wheels that would be perfectly suited to travel throughout France and Europe. It had to be compact, constructed from healthy, eco-friendly materials and be beautiful. All things which he has accomplished in this very clever tiny house design.
This super tiny house is also designed to be completely off the grid, with a brilliant mix of modern and old fashioned technologies to ensure the home is always fully functional, without being wasteful.
In this video we explore the construction materials used to make this lightweight, eco friendly design possible, and we also dive into some really great design discussion around the use of sacred geometry which was used to work out the home’s proportions. Enjoy the full video tour of this very special tiny house on wheels!

Milk paint (milk, pigments and lime and/or borax to activate the casein) has been used for thousands of years, even before France was a country. :)
It was very popular in America as well, at some point most of the arch-typical red barn farmhouses were painted with casein mixtures. It’s becoming popular again since it’s such a environmentally friendly choice with zero VOCs: easy to make, and if you google around, you’ll find several companies marketing powder mixes in lovely colours ❤️

This house reminded me when I was obsessed with tiny living and I was designing a lot of ideas. In my country there is a weight limit you can drive with basic driving licence so I designed a tiny house trailer 1x1,7m that would fit within the limit. It had a wardrobe, desk, bed, kitchen, and wet bathroom. Everything was designed to be collapsible. Never went through with it due the cost of building it. It's easier to convert a van. Also it didn't have windows but I imagined some solution to make the roof transparent. Everything stayed only on paper. As it mostly does

To build it, might take 10 years of slowly building, slowly, acquiring the materials, via reclaiming, In the end it's the reward of the journey of discovery, not the instant gratification of buying everything new with funds from a bank loan.
