  • In this weeks episode we meet Jonathan and Yunaë, an inspiring couple who are traveling the world in their amazing DIY built tiny house on wheels. Their home is beautifully constructed and has been designed to meet the challenges of global travel and life on the road.
    The off-the-grid tiny house was constructed over a two year period and with the home now complete, Jonathan and Yunaë's adventures have begun. The couple have already traveled extensively in their tiny house throughout France, and now plan to extend the trip throughout Europe and eventually travel all the way to French Guiana in South America.
    In this video, we talk about how the home has been especially designed for travel and also what it’s really like to live on the road in a tiny house on wheels. I hope you enjoy the full video tour of this beautiful home.

RV campers come with a verbal warning of 'watch out for theft,' but even when locked in parks around the USA, theives will still break in. There are warnings at every campsite to lock up, but the door locks are flimsy. People who travel are instantly vulnerable traveling with cash and valuables through areas they are not familiar with.

    This really is a "tiny house" with the weight restriction. Lots of great ideas. I like seeing gutters for rain capture. Huge kitchen sink next to the bathroom so a 2nd sink isn't needed. All the fold down and pull out storage uses every inch of space. The only thing I don't like is the distance from the top step to the loft. Seems a little unsafe. This house has such a radiant warmth and comfort about it. I can't figure out what makes it so, because in one sense, the floor plan is kind of standard, yet it has such a cozy energy. Maybe the kitchen sink, maybe the living room table and sofa...maybe it is just the energy of the home and the lovely couple who built it and live there. Definitely a very special and cozy home!

When they showed 8 people sitting around that table, and the ability to sleep 4 comfortably is outstanding! And that sink is huge, and they way they have the toilet/shower separation is so common sense and roomy. 100% off grid, water collection/recycling and solar to boot! Bravo!

      Solexx X I love the roofline and decorative design on the porch roof, but I agree that it could have been done better by making a window nook with a desk and storage. Many amazing options in other tiny houses would work there. The utility closet/ storage on the end with the trailer hitch is huge and could be smaller since when he opened it up there wasn’t much inside.

      @@meiraloraduncan8953 They explained in the video that they built the porch because France has so strict weight regulations that it would be to heavy otherwise.

      Yes, I was thinking that if weight is such an issue, just lose the porch, have a retractable awning and have an extra half a meter of house.. but that’s just me.

    • @wownewstome6123
      @wownewstome6123 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm just hoping the weight distribution is right for safe towing. One US source says, in part:
      "For conventional trailers with ball-mounted hitches, proper tongue weight is roughly 10 to 15 percent of the total loaded trailer weight."
      "...to get the proper trailer tongue weight, you should put about 60 percent of the load centered evenly over the front half of the trailer."
