Great video John, I have a trip booked to Portugal in September and will follow this route, and maybe a few detours, it’s looks excellent, I love the idea of the passport,
My wife is very supportive of my solo trips which can last a couple of months. But, to travel with my wife on her own bike and staying/eating in great hotels and eateries would be a dream come true. You are a lucky man. Enjoyed the video needless to say.
Great video and information. I've just decided today to do a fly/hire trip for my birthday in May. Landing at Faro and hiring a Triumph Speed Twin from Soulful Bikes. My plan is to spend 6 days riding up to the Duoro Valley and back. Can't wait!
I did a lot of longest roads, Port Augusta to Darwin, Darwin to Broome to Perth, Perth to Port Augusta, Melbourne to Sidney, Brisbane to Cairns, Cairns to Coocktown and so on. A complete round trip of Australia and a coupe of times straight thru the continent. The N7 in France or the Route Napoleon. And so on. There are a lot of longest routes every country has them.

Very nice and well explained in every detail video. By the way, all your videos are very instructive. I also ordered a trident as a 2nd engine, which is why I ended up on your videos. Until the next one and keep you both safe. ✌

@routemainstreet wow that's great! However, i wouldn't recommend riding around Portugal in July/August. It's ridiculous hot... 40+c in some areas.. My bikes hardly leave my garage in those months. 👍 Best rent a convertible with AC 😁 If you would like to know some of the best places to visit, just give me a nudge. I'd be happy to help out 👍
Staying in hotels also means not having to carry lots more luggage which would use more fuel. I liked Portugal in 1986 when I went there and still like the look of it.
excellent planning and nice mountain scenic riding, even the village ride seemed quite fun to watch go by, oh i'm glad to see trident doing so well over there, definitely picked the right motorcycle!

This is a find. I live in Lagos for a fair bit of the year. Have done for the last 10 years. H&B Orbit would be my choice of luggage. N22: I have heard about this road but never ridden it as I usually head to Spain for my trips. That peg broke too easily. Really disappointing to scratch a new bike. I knocked my B-King over with my swing-over garage door some years back. 1,500 km is some bike trip when you've just passed your test. With a surname like Neves, are you half Portuguese?

Enjoyed the video but "one of the longest roads in the world", who do they think they are fooling? 750kms barely gets me to Norseman, never mind Adelaide or Melbourne.
Hey there 👋 Thanks for watching 👍 This is one road mind you. Not a highway, not a freeway. It's just a road with the designation N2. Usually long routes are formed of various roads with many different designations, that's what makes this one a little different. Are the ones you mention also simple roads?
