Back in 1978 the only bike i could afford was a crappy Sears 10 speed road bike. I took that bike all over the desert hills of scottsdale Arizona the hills the jumps; many tacoed rims ,lots of face plants. In fact they called me endo boy. Bottom line, great fun in the wild. Now at 58 I just ordered my first proper hardtail mountain bike. Your video has really inspired me to get back at it and I really appreciate what you represent.
Huh. I was living with a bunch of people who worked for A J Hackett Bungy in Cairns in the mid 90’s and I remember when they did the promo of a bunch of mountain bikers dropping off the tower. I was there! Was an awesome day lol. Great to see you guys still kicking on… 👍
I very briefly met Glen at the Stellenbosch round of the WC in 1998, still the same legendary nice guy. These videos truly show the soul of biking, keep it up Fanie and co!
A poet and now we know it. Who'd have thought that in three decades we'd see you reach such heights with your talent and drive Glen. Props m8 love your work. See at home soon:) MC
Awesome video and a great credit to Glen Jacobs. I was lucky enough to work and Ride in Australia in 1997 and had 2.5 years riding and experiencing new trails. Cairns and Port Douglas was superb and I managed a win on the World Cup course during a local race. Next project for Glen the English Lake District? (PLEASE)
Mad skills and artistry realised in the shape of truly awesome-to-ride trails. I've ridden some of World Trail's works in Tasmania and Victoria, and believe that why they really know what they are doing in this gig stems from a deep love of riding.
I need to know the limerick or what ever , that are in the opening minutes of this video. Eppic video. Lucky to be living in Tassie with many World Trails built track.....
Love the video, love the story, love the dude ... good on ya Glen .. I remember building a pony express trail with him and bunch of lads out back of Edmonton, it was crap lol. He definitely got better :-)
@@CairnsJukebox I was just joking the Poem is lovely… I personally have a sworks levo coming this week… I’ve test ridden both…and chose the sworks levo over the trek rail. 😎
The video and the people in it are great but with all respect I have to say those trails are excessively unnatural from my point of view. I like the trails that take you to a place and you enjoy the travel, but this trails are like theme parks made for specific bikes. It is like making trails for bikes than making bikes for trails.
Hi there! Due to rusian aggression on Ukraine , will Specialized keep trading with rusia, and support rusian athletes ? International court named rusian actions in Ukraine - genocide over Ukrainians. Loved this!!
🙌 The spirit of Mountain Biking is alive and well with World Trails
Special! and love the poetry
An old Cairns boy made good. Good on ya Glen.
Mountain biking is a small community and outsiders just don't understand us. Great video! I would love to spend some time on those trails.
So key to both build a good trail (sustainable, beautiful, embracing it’s environment) and a good trail (flow, ride predictability, challenge)!
From my first mountain bike in 1986 to today this hit home for me. Such a great way of explaining the sport that we all embrace. Peace to our tribe.
