What I like about Vietnam (and the same for Cambodia), is that you can find these boutique style small apartment buildings, low density and really characteristic and tastefully done. And the prices are just so affordable. Nice place.
Thank you for the information. Great rooftop garden! You can buy different size baskets of natural fibers to store your chargers gadgets and yoga mats etc. This keeps things more out of sight and tidy. It also adds an element of warmth to the space 😃
That's a good idea! We’ve been moving a lot, accumulating a lot of extra stuff. it gets harder and harder to justify yet another purchase when you don’t know how long you will stay eventually.
Thank you for your time and posting. I will retire there if my trip to Vietnam in November works out. A 90-day visa isn't too bad. I'll go to Thailand for a week and come back. That should work. I've listened to many vlogs and nobody has mentioned this except once. Thank you again.
You are welcome! I hope everything works out. It is indeed possible to apply for a new visa as soon as your old one expires. I also hear Vietnamese government is considering a retirement Visa for foreigners.
I'm planning to relocate to South East Asia but as you have told regarding the TV noise it's a bit challenging to find a good apartment then. Lets see what happens, thanks for sharing ❤
TV noise is not too common, most people don’t really watch it these days, depends on the neighbor. But poor soundproofing is very common in countries with warmer climate. That’s the price you gotta pay if you want to live somewhere warm basically :)
Hi Olga. I’m planning on coming to da Nang maybe October. Looking for a doctor who specializes in pain. Usually these doctors are anestesia doctors. I’ll look into you r members channel. P.S. I bought a dehumidifier bag which turns colors when full then you microwave it and it does its job all over again. !!
Hi, in the Guide I share some international and local hospitals and you can start looking for a good doctor from there. Medicine in Vietnam is overall good and affordable (by Western standards), if you have a relatively common issue. But for more complicated medical cases foreigners tend to go to Thailand.
Hi Olga and Rene. Thank you very much for this video. I have been following you for a long time. May I ask how much you pay for your apartment and in which area it is (more or less)? 🙏🙏
Hi, thanks for following, we appreciate it 🤗 I talk about rent and bills at the end of this video, check out timecodes in the description. We live in a touristy neighbourhood about 10 min walk from the beach. In the guide I give advice about neighbourhoods to stay and give my Top5 apartment recommendations.
The garden is very nice, but was that the deciding factor? Or was it price or location? or something else? You mentioned lack of natural light, and overall space. I realize everyone's budget is different, but I'd readily pay double that rent for more space and better light/more windows. Some of those apartments trigger a bit of claustrophobia.
I would say room size is quite standard for Vietnam, at least from what we saw. You can get a 2-bedroom, but the living room will still be not that big. We got used to it, and spent a lot of time outside anyway :) Light situation was much better in our previous apartment, but right when we moved in the construction started next door 😭 The garden really was the selling point, as it’s really nice to have an opportunity to chill there whenever we want. Not every apartment has a rooftop space, or they have a pool.
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Hi there! I am planning to stay in da nang for 1 month. What is your advice on where to look for an affordable apartment? I know there is Airbnb, but I’m not sure if the prices on there are more expensive or not.

Hi. How do they measure how much electricity / aircon and water you use?
there is a meter, same as everywhere else
Why do you prefer DaNang over Nha Trang?
Hi am from i whant to play visa to Come in Vietnam
What kind of visa do you have to stay one year?
Right now there are 3 month visas and you can get a new one after that. Also you can apply for a student visa or start a business
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces Yes. I have had 3 months visas in the past, but can I keep applying for them?
