Last time I was there it was only half full. That thing it huge when filled up, makes my wish I had my boat still. Regarding your hat, I've been there a few times, is that old guy still at it or did the work finally do him in?
Jim Bishop is still alive and kicking! Although I think nowadays he is getting much older and his health is starting to deteriorate, I'm not 100% sure though. I got a picture with him Summer 2021!
Thank you! Yes, I definitely would live in the area. However, for me, I need good cell phone signal for my remote job.... other than that, incredible area. Thanks for watching I'm glad you liked it.
Correct, 11 Mile is out in the middle South Park, RMNP is a LONG ways North West. My ancestors homesteaded where RMNP is today. Built and ran a cabin camp they rented out to trappers and miners. Then built their own cabin at Shadow Mountain lake.
That is really cool! I love hearing random historical stuff like that. Whenever I see those old structures in the mountainous areas, I always think "wow this pioneers did all of this without modern technology/etc. and they just sucked it up and did it."@@HighCountryRambler
That was fucking awesome!!! Great footage and editing.😎
Thank you my dude! The drone stuff gets addicting.
I've have been to Colorado seventeen times since 2014. I'm definitely coming to this lake this coming May. Great video!
Thanks! 11 Mile is really cool. There is some excellent camping nearby at Spillway.
Beautiful drone footage! The lake looks so clean and peaceful :-) :-)
Listen carefully starting at the 2:33 mark. 🤣🤣

That is not rocky mountain national park in the distance. The mountains in the distance are the collegiate peaks mountain range.
Thank you for correcting me! I have been to 11 Mile and RMNP several times since this video, and realized that its not RMNP.
