    Bravo Malaysia. As a Canadian stuck in Malaysia since March 18th I totally agree with the sentiments of this video. Malaysia did an AWESOME job!! Let me say that again. Malaysia and Malaysians, you all did an AWESOME job. I am so glad I stayed instead of going back to Canada. Canada and Malaysia have a similar population...but: Canada - 9,000 deaths and 120,000 infections. Malaysia - 122 deaths and less than 9,000 infections. Case closed. I have also been on a road trip since June 19th. Kuching, Georgetown, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Melaka, KL, Genting Highlands, Taiping, Bukit Merah, Ipoh and now Cameron Highlands - FABULOUS so far! Next is Kota Bahru, Perhentian Islands, Kuala Terengganu, Pekan, Mersing, Tioman Island and after that - who knows?! THANKS MALAYSIA!!

      @Boratstromm's Mongoose It is better if we're not being colonized at all. They make us thought that without them, we will never be civilized, never be modern. They're WRONG.
      Japan never being colonized but they're modern even before WW2. Who said only by western colonialism us in the east get modernized?
      They conspire with the worst of us, our elites, our royals, to keep us in check.
      They not just rob our wealth, but also our mind, our pride, our identity. We're not who we think we're, but their version of us.
      They destroy history, re-wrote history. They reshape us into what we become today.
      And now, they return to see what their ancestors have created.

People like Darren who are expats will still be fine but the poor have not when the government decreased their food budget from 30 ringgit to 9 ringgit weekly. Do these idiots expect people to live on crackers and empty noodles? Nutrition deficiency will definitely spread not just the Covid-19 but other preventable diseases as well.

      @truthseeker6693 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@therock8224 Dear Mr Rock sir, how do you then suggest we restart Malaysia's and the world's economy that has declined by more than 6 percents in 2020? Gross National Products of countries all over the world is shrinking and this will lead to more job loss. As of now more than 120 million people have lost their jobs worldwide. We are not just talking about innoculating 70 percent of Malaysians. We are talking of innoculating 70 percent of the world population, in every nation in the world, to stop the spread of this virus.
      If you reject the vaccine and have no wish to help the country back to its feet, its your personal choice, albeit not a patriotic thing to do. But please do not spread rumours when you do not really understand why governments all over the world are spending billions of money to develop vaccines for the people. We have to stop the virus to help spur our economic growth once again. We have already lost billions due to Covid19. If we do not stop the virus, we will lose triilions more. This will bankrupt the nation. Everyone will suffer including you and me.
      I suggest you follow reports by The Economist to understand how badly the virus has devastated the world's economic growth. So that you will understand why we need to use the vaccine as soon as possible. Thank you for your comment.

      @therock8224 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@truthseeker6693 You're not a truth seeker you're a propagandist.
      It's very easy to get the world back on it's feet. End the economy ravaging lockdowns based on this flu and let's just open back up.
      This vaccine will kill and maim millions, but be blamed on a "resurgence of the virus". Mark my words. The propaganda will be intense while the collateral damage will be enormous. The RNA technology has never been tested in humans before.
      There is nothing "patriotic" about taking this shot of poison. If the government told you to jump off a bridge would you listen to them? Learn to think for yourself.

    Hi ! Darren,
    I heartily endorse your views about Malaysia.....I've been a regular traveller there for almost 40 years.
    I based myself, whilst not travelling worldwide, in Penang from 2011-2016, engaging in voluntary work among people living on the streets of the town.
    As a dual national, British/Australian,but domiciled in the latter, I was faced with the same situation.
    I arrived in Malta from Morocco, in early February, intending to spend 3 months and I've been here since, riding out the storm.
    I feel completely safe here.
    Your accent sounds 'vaguely' familiar...somewhere 'up north' !?
    I was born in Barrow-in-Furness, North Lancs, now Cumbria, but never acquired an accent due to regular north/south/north travel during my childhood.
    I cancelled out of a visit in May to celebrate my 70th birthday, which would have been my first visit there in almost 60 years.....Yay, Barrow FC back in the Football League after 48 years !
    Cumbria remains of the hardest hit areas of the UK.
    I, also, determined that I was safer here than risking acquiring and possibly transmitting the virus during transit to either the UK or Australia.
    They both said come home, Malta said go home...I stayed.
    Malta has had one of the highest recovery rates and only a small number of lives lost, surprising given it's close proximity to Italy which was devastated.
    If I had a choice of somewhere else to be 'confined' it would certainly have been Malaysia, for all the reasons you mentioned....and many more !
    The earliest I can possibly return to Malaysia, if circumstances permit, is most probably May/June 2021.
    Best Regards.......Les
